Chapter 60 Who says one hand can't clap?

"It was Snape... ugh∽ it was Snape who cast the spell on us∽. Ugh∽ He must know∽ how to undo it."

Avery was spitting out slugs while complaining to Professor McGonagall that because of his lying position, the slugs flowed into his collar.

Professor McGonagall used a cleansing spell on the two of them, her face looking very angry.

"It turned out to be that slug who did it." James said to Sirius with a look of shock on his face, "I thought it was a senior student playing a prank on them."

It seems that the slug was quite gentle to them before and did not kill them right away.

"Are you scared?" Sirius teased.

"Tsk, there's nothing to be afraid of. There are so many of us, how can he possibly defeat us? The worst that can happen is we can just launch a sneak attack." James said without the slightest bit of shame.

He dared to attack his classmates at school. He must be an evil dark wizard in the future. He is getting rid of harm to the people by dealing with slugs.

"You guys go out, don't disturb the patient's rest here."

Professor McGonagall heard a few people whispering there, so she kicked them out and found Snape.

"Mr. Snape, did you use a curse on Avery and Mulberry in the afternoon?" she asked Snape with a serious face.

Professor McGonagall was very impressed with Snape and thought he was a very talented but somewhat taciturn little wizard who was not the type to cause trouble.

Compared with Avery and Mulbersey, she actually preferred Snape in her heart, and hoped that there was some misunderstanding that she was not aware of.

"Yes, I cast the curse on both of them." Snape replied in a calm voice.

Professor McGonagall was a little disappointed to hear the affirmative words.

She looked deeply at Snape and said in a low voice: "They can't return to normal now. Do you know how to remove the inversion spell on them?"

"I know, the counter-curse is the falling of the golden bell." Snape replied.

Knowing the counter-curse, Professor McGonagall immediately went to the infirmary and put the two people down.

However, the slug's spell could not be resolved, and coupled with being upside down for too long, both of them were in poor condition and needed to stay in the infirmary for observation.

Professor McGonagall brought Snape to Dumbledore and told him what had happened.

"His behavior is too extreme. He actually used this kind of spell on his classmates. I think he should be severely punished." Professor McGonagall looked at Dumbledore seriously.

Dumbledore remained gentle after hearing what happened.

"Minerva, don't get so excited. Why don't we listen to the child's explanation? There may be other inside stories."

He looked at Snape and said slowly, "Can you explain the cause of the incident in detail? I believe you are not a combative person."

Snape looked at Dumbledore and told him what had happened.

"…They were bullying the girls from Ravenclaw and verbally insulting Professor Malfoy. I was very angry at the time, so I couldn't help but take action."

Dumbledore nodded in understanding.

"Do you have any evidence to prove that what you said is true?" he stared at Snape.

"According to the descriptions of the two injured students, you attacked them suddenly when they were not paying attention. They had no time to defend themselves, so they were cursed by you. This is completely different from what you said."

"The Ravenclaw girl was there at the time, and she witnessed what happened," Snape said calmly.

He knew that Dumbledore, the old fox, was worried that the school directors would use this as an excuse to attack him.

"Do you know the Ravenclaw girl?" Dumbledore continued.

"I don't know her," Snape replied.

"You don't know her, why do you want to help her?" Dumbledore pressed Snape step by step, "From what I know, you are not a kind-hearted person."

"Albus!"

Professor McGonagall stood in front of Snape, looked at Dumbledore seriously and said, "You are going too far. I believe this child has no bad intentions. He just wants to help others."

"Minerva, it's useless for us two to believe it alone." Dumbledore's blue eyes reflected a sharp light under his glasses. "The parents of those two children will not let it go. I'm afraid they will not accept this explanation. Perhaps Mr. Snape will face the punishment of expulsion from school."

"It's just some conflicts between students. Is it necessary to make it so serious?" Professor McGonagall disagreed.

"Things are not as simple as they seem."

Dumbledore took off his glasses, wiped them, and put them back on. There seemed to be some helplessness in his eyes.

He looked at Snape and said in a deep voice, "What they did was indeed excessive, but your behavior was also extreme. I will punish you to keep watch with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest and deduct 50 points from Slytherin. Since the two of them bullied a Ravenclaw girl, Slytherin will be deducted another 20 points."

Faced with the punishment, Snape said nothing.

This is Dumbledore's consistent practice of protecting his students.

First pretend to punish the little wizard who made the mistake to shut up outsiders, and after a while, it will be as if nothing happened.

Stupid Potter and that brat Weasley always get away with it this way.

I never thought that one day I would be protected by Dumbledore.

He wondered what value he had that made him worthy of Dumbledore's protection.

Soon, he figured out the reason.

It's because of Gardenia.

A powerful alchemist that everyone would like to win over to their side.

After realizing this, Snape's eyes turned cold.

He accepted the punishment given by Dumbledore and went to patrol the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid.

"Hey, don't be so sullen, the night in the forbidden forest is quite interesting."

Hagrid looked at Snape, who had no expression on his face, and said in a friendly manner, "Today is a full moon night. Maybe you can even see a unicorn."

Snape had no intention of going in.

He knew that Hagrid kept a lot of dangerous things in there, and a young wizard was almost eaten by a giant eight-eyed spider.

Seeing that he ignored him, Hagrid didn't feel embarrassed. He was already used to these little wizards' cold attitude towards him.

"If you don't want to go into the Forbidden Forest, you can stay in my hut. Fang can stay with you in the hut." Hagrid said very considerately.

"No need, I'll go into the Forbidden Forest with you so they won't find out that I didn't patrol with you." Snape said calmly.

Seeing that he finally talked to him, Hagrid was very happy and wanted to invite him to go to the Forbidden Forest to see the unicorns.

Snape refused.

Today is a full-moon night, and there is an ominous atmosphere in the Forbidden Forest. The forest is particularly restless. Maybe Lupin Remus is in the Forbidden Forest.

He didn't want to face the werewolf right now.

Hagrid felt very sorry that he couldn't introduce his little cuties to Snape, so he just patrolled the periphery tonight.

The next day, Snape was called away by Professor McGonagall as soon as the get out of class was over.

Professor McGonagall looked at him with some regret.

He probably guessed the reason.

It looks like Avery and Mulbersey's parents are here.

The reason why the two of them acted arrogantly and bullied other students in the college was mainly due to the connivance of their family members.

As soon as Snape walked to the principal's door, he saw Jiang Li standing in the principal's office. He raised his chin slightly, slapped the fat man who looked like a mountain of meat away, and revealed a smile full of evil.

"Who said one hand can't clap? Isn't this quite loud?"
