Chapter 59 He Didn't Hurt Me
Snape did not feel too much of a stir when he heard Lily's almost naive words.
Because Lily had said the same thing to him before.
He looked at Lily and said slowly: "Have you ever thought about what the Slytherin students would do to me if I really did what you said?"
Lily didn't understand what he meant, but she explained seriously: "I know this will make you feel uncomfortable, but think about it in a positive way. We can make more friends from other colleges."
"Lily." Snape interrupted her, his voice a little tired, "I need to rest. Let's not meet for a few days."
He didn't want to get into an argument with Lily over something as stupid as this.
When Lily heard what he said, she thought he was going to break up with her, and her eyes instantly turned red.
Snape had already turned his back and didn't notice Lily's expression at all.
Seeing Snape leave without any regard for her, Lily could no longer hold back her tears.
She didn't understand why Snape had changed.
Does entering Slytherin really make you a bad person?
Lily walked back wiping her tears.
"Lily~"
The Gryffindor quartet was playing in the corridor. James spotted Lily immediately and ran towards her quickly.
Seeing her wiping away tears, James was stunned.
"What's wrong with you? Who bullied you?" James asked nervously.
Lily quickly wiped away the tears from her eyes, looked at James with red eyes and said, "Don't bother me."
"I'm worried about you. If someone bullies you, I can avenge you and beat that guy up!"
James showed off his weak muscles and punched the air a few times with his fists raised.
He was so engrossed in his play that he didn't notice and punched Lily in the nose.
Lily couldn't help it this time. She squatted down, hugged her legs and cried loudly.
James panicked. He quickly squatted down and tried to comfort Lily in a panic.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to hit you, please stop crying, it breaks my heart to see you crying."
When Sirius heard this, he suddenly felt a pain in his teeth and got goose bumps all over his body.
Lily didn't want to pay attention to him, and put her face on her elbow to block the view of others. Suddenly, the robe at her feet moved.
She lifted her robe and saw James' face underneath it, making faces at her.
"Ghost!"
Lily was so frightened that she punched James in the face.
James, still lying on the floor with a bloody nose, smirked at Lily, "I already let you fight back, you can't be mad at me anymore."
The other three people couldn't bear to watch this scene.
Sirius pretended not to know James and walked away.
Lily laughed at his funny look.
"You smiled." James looked at Lily with a silly smile and said, "You look best when you smile."
Hearing this, Lily immediately stopped smiling.
James got up from the ground, looked at Lily and asked, "Now can you tell me why you are crying?"
"nothing."
Lily didn't want to answer this question.
Hearing this, James seemed to have thought of something and said excitedly: "Did that slug bully you? I knew he was not a good guy!"
"I don't allow you to say bad things about Sev!" Lily immediately defended him.
"It really has something to do with him." James keenly noticed the change in Lily's attitude and looked at her and said, "Did he do anything excessive to you?"
"No, Sifta didn't hurt me."
Lily thought about what happened just now and still felt a little sad.
Seeing that she refused to say, James decided to go to Snape to ask himself.
Sirius leaned against the wall in the corridor. He understood James' thoughts with just one look and followed him immediately.
Lupin and Peter didn't know what was going on, but they followed subconsciously.
"I told Lily a long time ago that the slug was not a good person. He insisted on playing with the slug."
James rolled up his sleeves, looking like he was ready to fight.
Sirius, who was standing next to him, stopped and poked his arm and said, "Are those two big pumpkins hanging in the corridor wearing Slytherin clothes?"
Hearing this, James stopped and saw the big pumpkin that kept spitting out slugs. He couldn't help rubbing his eyes, wondering if he had seen it wrong.
It's not even dark yet, why is he dizzy?
After confirming that these two people were actually Slytherin students, James walked over with a mean look on his face.
He poked one of them with his wand and said, "You Slytherins are really good at having fun. You even hang yourself up."
"They didn't hang themselves. Someone cast a curse at them." Sirius looked at the two and analyzed, "Did Evans come from this direction just now?"
Hearing this, James clapped his hands and said in an extremely confident tone, "I know what happened. It must be that when Snotlout cast a curse on his classmates, Lily saw it. Snotlout also said a lot of ugly things to Lily, so Lily was mad at him and cried."
"Then what should we do now?"
Sirius poked the two men with his wand, watching slugs come out of their mouths, and took a few steps back in disgust.
"Of course, tell Professor McGonagall about this." James raised the corners of his lips and smiled maliciously, "Anyway, we are not the ones who did something wrong in this matter."
"Do you have to smile so ugly?" Sirius said with disgust.
"Don't all villains in books smile like this? My mother particularly likes an evil villain. She said that he is very charming when he smiles like this." James curled his lips and smiled evilly.
"What are you four doing!?"
Professor McGonagall's majestic voice sounded.
James and Sirius subconsciously wanted to run.
"You guys actually used evil spells on other students."
Seeing the two people hanging upside down, Professor McGonagall was furious and looked at them with disappointment.
"No, we didn't use any evil spells. It was already like this when we got here," James explained quickly.
"Professor McGonagall, we really didn't do this. If you don't believe me, you can check our wands." Sirius replied calmly.
"Professor McGonagall, I think we should take them both to the infirmary first," Lupin said.
He felt that if these two people didn't go to the infirmary, they would probably be hanged here from congestion.
Professor McGonagall was very angry that some students actually used curses to hurt their classmates.
She used a levitation spell and brought the two boys who had turned into pumpkins to the infirmary.
"The curse stops immediately."
The spell was cast, falling on the two boys.
The two huge pumpkin heads immediately returned to their original appearance.
Aifur and Mulbersey were still spitting slugs out of their mouths, their saliva was all over the floor, their upside-down bodies couldn't return to normal, their faces were red and swollen from congestion, and they looked extremely miserable.
James took a step back in disgust and whispered to Sirius, "Why are these two annoying guys here? I should have known better than to ask Professor McGonagall to remove their curse."
Sirius nodded in agreement.
Madam Pomfrey was also somewhat embarrassed by the situation.
"The Slug Curse can only be stopped after he has vomited for a whole day, but this inversion spell requires a counter-curse to be released. Do you know what a counter-curse is?"
Seeing that the two students looked so miserable, she waved her wand and tried to lay their bodies flat as much as possible to prevent them from dying from brain congestion.
