Chapter 33 Meeting again

"You...you wouldn't think of me as your mother, right?" Jiang Li asked hesitantly, staring into Snape's eyes.

Snape:?

"What on earth are you thinking about?" Snape gritted his teeth and said, "I want to buy potion materials, won't you give me money?"

"That won't happen." Jiang Li replied.

After all, this was not the money she earned, so taking it all away would be a bit too much. She still had to take the path of sustainable development.

"That's fine," Snape said slowly, "I don't have any other need for the money."

Jiang Li: “…”

There are few people who can leave her speechless, and Snape is the first one.

Apart from this accident, Jiang Li had a very happy Christmas.

She also received a notebook from Nicolas Flamel, in which he wrote many thoughts on alchemy.

After Jiang Li read the notes above, many of his doubts about alchemy were answered.

Thinking of the alchemical materials he had recently acquired, Jiang Li became eager to try again.

After Christmas, he immediately locked himself in the alchemy room to conduct various experiments.

The same was true for Snape.

Mia delivers food to the doors of these two rooms at a fixed time every day.

If there hadn't been less food at the door, Mia would have suspected that the two owners were not at home at all.

"boom!"

There was a huge explosion in the alchemy room next door. Snape, who was making potion, was startled and almost dropped the porcupine quill in his hand into the pot.

The explosion was so loud that the house shook. Snape was afraid that Jiang Li would blow himself up, so he quickly ran to the alchemy room where Jiang Li was.

When he entered, the alchemy room had completely collapsed and a lot of the walls had fallen off.

A hand stretched out from the ruins. Snape hurried over and moved the stones away. Jiang Li crawled out with a weak face, lay on the ground and coughed, coughing up a lot of bloody dust.

The beautiful light blonde hair was also covered with dust. Snape felt that Jiang Li now looked similar to those homeless people in Spinner's End Alley.

"Clean and new."

Snape used a cleansing spell on Jiang Li.

There was a little less dust on Jiang Li's body, and his whole body was gray, but his blue eyes were still bright and lively.

"Are you an idiot? You're studying alchemy and burying yourself in it." Snape frowned and stared at Jiang Li and scolded.

Jiang Li coughed and felt a sharp pain in her chest. It should be the impact of the explosion that broke her ribs.

"what happened to you?"

Seeing that Jiang Li looked unhappy, Snape asked with concern.

"I have broken ribs."

As Jiang Li spoke, she covered her mouth and coughed. A salty and bitter feeling rose to her throat. Bright red blood oozed from between her fingers, and her face became extremely pale.

She wanted to try to combine two magic circles with completely opposite effects to see what effect it would have, but the two magic circles repelled each other, and she was blown away before she could even run away.

"Why didn't you tell me such an important thing earlier?"

Snape's expression changed instantly, and he quickly used the levitation spell to send Jiang Li to the room.

"My clothes are too dirty. I can't go to bed without taking a shower." Jiang Li said weakly.

Seeing that she was so badly injured and still thinking about this, Snape was so angry that he couldn't speak.

He quickly returned to the potion room to get the recovery potion and used a healing spell on Jiang Li's wounds.

Looking at the white light coming out of the magic wand, Jiang Li felt an itch in his chest, as if his bones were healing.

She took the potion handed to her by Snape and took a sip, her face instantly wrinkled.

"Ugh, why is this potion so unpalatable? It doesn't taste any better."

"This is a potion, not a drink."

Seeing her being picky, Snape said venomously: "I hope Miss Malfoy can remember this lesson and stop blowing herself up. You may not be so lucky next time."

"Don't you still exist?" Jiang Li forced a pale smile and said, "I know you will definitely come to save me."

Snape sneered and said, "Let me remind you that I am only an eleven-year-old wizard now, and I cannot guarantee that I can save you every time you explode.

Can't you just make some simple alchemical items? You make such a big noise every time."

Jiang Li frowned and drank all the potion in the bottle. It tasted so bitter that he reached out to take the candy from the drawer.

Snape slapped her hand away and said mercilessly: "You can't eat after drinking the potion. The potion is repairing your body. Eating will affect the effect."

Hearing this, Jiang Li lay on his back on the bed like a salted fish that had lost its dreams.

"How long will it take before I can eat?" Jiang Li asked.

"It will take half a day to fully heal."

Snape glanced at the clock, then simply took a book from the bookshelf in Jiang Li's room and sat down beside the bed to read.

Jiang Li originally wanted to wait until Snape left and then secretly eat some chocolate, but seeing that he was sitting here with no intention of leaving, he could only lie on the ground with despair.

The room was quiet. Snape wondered why Jiang Li didn't respond. He turned around and saw that he had fallen asleep.

The woman lay quietly on the bed, breathing evenly, as delicate as a painting.

Snape reached out and wiped the dust off her cheek, thinking that it would be better to make the potion a little more unpalatable when making it, so that this person would not become so arrogant that he would ruin his body at will.

When Jiang Li woke up, it was already dark. He saw a dark figure sitting beside the bed and subconsciously drew out his magic wand and hit the other person.

"Get up and eat when you wake up."

Snape's voice had the clarity that is unique to teenagers and a steadyness that is not in line with his age.

Jiang Li climbed up from the bed and took out a crucible from his storage bracelet.

"This is for you. I wanted to give it to you on your birthday, but it nearly exploded in the alchemy room."

"What is this?" asked Snape.

"The crucible we made recently can control the temperature. The temperature can be displayed on it, which can effectively prevent the crucible from exploding. You can directly set the temperature for a certain period of time." Jiang Li explained.

"Were you hit by the explosion because you were going back to get this?" Snape suddenly asked.

"I'm used to being blown up. Even if I don't take this, I will be blown up." Jiang Li said with a relaxed expression.

There were many expensive and rare alchemical materials in the alchemy room. She would be heartbroken if they were all destroyed, so Jiang Li quickly packed up all the materials before the explosion affected her.

Snape felt indescribably complicated. He looked at Jiang Li and didn't know what to say for a moment.

Over the years, no one has ever chosen to stand by him as firmly as Jiang Li.

I have to say, this is such a beautiful misunderstanding.

After Jiang Li recovered, she started to repair her alchemy room. Many things could not be restored, so she had to buy them again.

"Why aren't you making potions today?"

Jiang Li ran into Snape in the living room for several days in a row, and Snape wasn't reading. He felt something was wrong.

"I don't want to make potions. I want to rest for a while." Snape said lightly.

Jiang Li was shocked. She asked cautiously, "Are you sick?"

Otherwise, the person who makes potions every day actually wants to take a break today.

"Making potions is just my hobby. I think hobbies and life should be clearly separated." Snape said slowly.

He reflected on himself and realized that now he and Jiang Li were the only ones who could talk to each other at home. Mia and Jiang Li had no way to communicate at all. He made potions every day, and Jiang Li was too bored to do alchemy, which was why he made mistakes and got injured.

Maybe he should spend more time with Jiang Li so that she wouldn't be too lonely.

"That's good of you to think so."

Jiang Li thought that Snape must be too bored at home. After all, he was still a child and full of energy.

"The snow has melted at the playground you often go to. Do you want to have a picnic there?" Jiang Li suggested.

She remembered that Lily and Petunia were also nearby, so maybe they would meet them.

Snape nodded, thinking she wanted to go, and took the initiative to pack up the things needed for the picnic.

Jiang Li took out the things in the bracelet to make room, and asked Mia to bring the things needed for the picnic. Seeing how serious Snape was, he simply gave the bracelet to Snape and asked him to sort it out.

Biscuits, black tea, crystal cakes, small fruit platters, and tablecloths...

After packing up the things needed for the picnic, the two of them Apparated directly to the playground.

The snow had just melted and many places were wet, so Jiang Li went to find a relatively flat and clean place nearby, while Snape walked along the familiar road to Qianqiu.

Huge chimneys towered over the sky, and two girls were swinging on a swing.

The red-haired girl's swing was swinging exceptionally high. Just when she was about to fly out, the girl stopped and glided in the air for a while, then landed safely on the ground.

Petunia stopped the swing by scraping her heels on the ground, making a harsh sound. She got off the swing, put her hands on her hips and looked at Lily seriously.

"Lily, Mom told you not to do this. It's too dangerous."

"I'm fine, aren't I?" Lily gave Penny a flattering smile, "Penny, I'll show you something interesting."

Petunia looked around and didn't see Snape, who was using the Disillusionment Charm, standing not far away. She then saw Lily run to the bushes nearby and pick up a dead flower.

Snape stared at this scene in a daze. The girl in his memory really appeared, but he didn't dare to step forward to disrupt this scene.

Lily ran to Penny and held the dried flower in her hand with a mysterious look on her face.

Penny went forward to check out the withered flower in Lily's hand, worried and curious, and saw that it became bright and opened and closed in her hand, like some strange, multi-petaled clam.

"Stop it!" Penny shouted.

"Don't worry, it won't hurt you."

Seeing that Petunia was scared, Lily clapped her hands and the flower fell to the ground.

Penny stared at the flower, her eyes never leaving it.

"Lily, how did you do it?"

When she spoke, her voice revealed a longing that she herself was not aware of.

"Isn't it obvious?"

Snape said the same thing as if he had first met him.

Petunia and Lily were both frightened by Snape's sudden appearance.

Penny looked warily at the strange boy who suddenly appeared, wondering what he had seen.

Lily looked at him curiously and said, "What's obvious?"
