Chapter 25 You can’t

Jiang Li still didn't invite the three girls to his home. It's not that he didn't want to, but mainly because this place is a bit far from where they live and not very safe.

The weather at the end of August was chilly. Jiang Li wore a white shirt and went to the flower shop. He saw Petunia and Julia hugging each other, and all three of them had sad expressions on their faces.

Is this a rehearsal at the drama club?

Jiang Li walked over and learned a sad news.

Julia is going to immigrate abroad because of her father's work. He will leave tomorrow and they may never see each other again in their life. The three of them are in low spirits.

The saddest one was Penny, her eyes were red from crying, but Julia was her best friend.

"It's okay, you can still write to each other, and when you grow up, you can go see each other." Jiang Li comforted.

She had never known the pain of separation, because she had been experiencing death and separation all her life. Just not being able to see her loved ones was not a big deal, at least the person was not dead.

The three girls gathered together, said goodbye reluctantly, and exchanged farewell gifts.

Jiang Li stood outside the door and watched for a while, then pushed the door open and entered the flower shop. The moment he pushed the door open, a ray of brilliant light flashed.

Lily seemed to have discovered something and looked inside the flower shop, but did not see Jiang Li.

Just as he was about to push the door open to look for it, the door of the flower shop opened and Jiang Li walked out with white petals still stuck to his trouser legs.

Lily stared at Jiang Li's trouser legs, then glanced at the flowers in the store, and it seemed that there were no white flowers like this.

Jiang Li didn't know about Lily's little thoughts. She just went back home and got a amulet necklace.

"Julia, this is for you. It's a lucky charm from my hometown. Remember to wear it and don't take it off. It can protect you."

She looked at Julia's forehead which was stained with black energy and gave her serious instructions.

Julia took the amulet and put it around her neck without hesitation, and promised seriously: "I will definitely wear it and will never take it off."

Seeing that the black color between her brows had faded a lot, Jiang Li knew that what she said was true.

Penny and Lily wanted to give Julia a farewell party, but because of lack of funds, they went to a nearby ice cream shop to buy some ice creams to express their sadness about Julia's departure.

After eating the ice cream, the three little ones were in a much better mood and didn’t go home until the sun went down.

When Jiang Li returned home, Snape was not in the potion room. Instead, he was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper. There was a gift box on the table.

Seeing Jiang Li coming back, Snape raised his eyes from the newspaper.

"Today's front-page headline of the Daily Prophet is about a fire in a remote manor. The Fiery Fire had been burning for months. The day before yesterday, the manor's protective spell failed and the fire spread to nearby manors. Only then did people discover the incident."

He handed the newspaper to Jiang Li.

Jiang Li curled up on the sofa and took the newspaper directly from his hand. He looked at the place with the raging fire in the photo and felt that it looked familiar.

"Who is so cruel and vicious that he actually set fire to other people's manor?" Jiang Li said in surprise.

Snape said slowly: "The location of the fire is very close to where I was captured last time."

After hearing this, Jiang Li remembered everything.

Isn't this the manor she set on fire last time? How come it took so long to be discovered? She thought the matter was over long ago.

Noticing the change in Jiang Li's eyes, Snape looked at Jiang Li and asked, "Does this matter have anything to do with you?"

Jiang Li threw the newspaper on the table, hugged the pillow and said, "I set the fire."

"Does anyone else know about this?" Snape looked at Jiang Li seriously.

Hearing this, Jiang Li leaned over to Snape, looked at him with a half-smile and said, "Why are you asking this? Are you going to report me to the Ministry of Magic?"

"If this gets to know anyone else, you will be taken to Azkaban."

Snape felt she was too close and tilted his head, feeling a little awkward, but he didn't push her away.

"If anyone knows about this, let's deal with them first to prevent them from reporting you."

Jiang Li looked at Snape in surprise. He didn't expect that he would think about him.

Snape felt a little uncomfortable being stared at by her. He raised his hand expressionlessly and pushed Jiang Li's face back.

"Don't worry, everyone who knew about this is dead."

Thinking of the scene that day, Jiang Li said calmly: "I can be sure that there is no one alive there."

She still understands the principle of cutting the grass at its roots and the principle of a cunning rabbit having three burrows.

Seeing Jiang Li so confident, Snape didn't say much.

Now it was Jiang Li's turn to be confused.

"Don't you think I'm cruel?" she asked.

"I'm not an idiot."

The boy stood straight, his black eyes showing no emotion.

"You did those things to save me. You didn't have to save me, but you did it anyway. I'm very grateful to you."

Jiang Li was really surprised.

She found that most of the wizards here were kind and were very disgusted by the behavior of killing people at will.

You have to know that the worst case scenario is life imprisonment in Azkaban, not direct death.

"You trust me."

Jiang Li picked up the peach from the fruit bowl, took a bite and said, "Why aren't you worried that I will become the next Grindelwald?"

Hearing this, Snape looked at her lazy movements with scrutiny and disdain and said, "You can't, you're too lazy."

Jiang Li thought about it and found that it made sense. He didn't expect that Snape knew him so well.

She stared at Snape for a few seconds and suddenly found that Snape looked good.

After half a year of feeding, Snape is no longer as pale and thin as he was at the beginning. He has some flesh on his face and his skin is in good condition. His facial features are deep, his hair is black and fluffy, and his skin is shiny white because he has not seen the sun for a long time. He has a calm temperament and is a truly beautiful boy without saying a word.

But as soon as he started talking, this beauty was immediately destroyed, and I wanted to sew his mouth shut.

Of course, Jiang Li could always hear the other person's true thoughts in his words, otherwise Snape would have been beaten up by her eight hundred times.

Snape felt uncomfortable with her gaze, so he stood up, turned away and said, "Your birthday present is on the table. I still have potions to make, so I'll be leaving first."

Watching him run away, Jiang Li realized that the gift on the table was for him.

She doesn't even know her birthday.

To be honest, nothing good happens on my birthday.

When she was one year old in her previous life, her father went hunting in the mountains and fell into a valley and died, so her grandmother drove her and her mother out.

When she was two years old, her mother was hit and killed by a wealthy family's carriage while trying to buy her a birthday gift. From then on, she lost her mother, and the villagers disliked her even more, saying that she was an unlucky star.

On her third birthday, the demons came and killed her uncle and aunt who had helped her. They also ate Xiaopang, her best friend, in front of her. Her master went down the mountain to find her and brought her back to the sect.

When she was four years old, no one died, but her contracted beast ate the poisoned longevity peach that someone gave her and died in front of her.

From then on, Jiang Li never thought about her birthday again, and her master let her do as she pleased.

The life span of cultivators is already long, and it is common for them to seclude themselves for hundreds of years. How could they be so pampered as to celebrate their birthday every year?

Jiang Li pulled himself out of his memories, opened the gift and took a look.

A bottle of advanced potion.

This gift is truly Snape's.

Giving someone medicine on their birthday is no different than cursing them to get sick.

But Jiang Li was still very happy. After all, it was a very happy thing to have someone care about you.
