Chapter 12 Once upon a time there was a mountain

The sun sets in the west and tired birds perch on the treetops.

Ye Zhenzhen rode her electric scooter again, going against the crowd of people leaving get off work, to go to work.

Somehow, she felt a little light as she climbed the stairs.

Coming to the crowded lounge, the usually bustling noises seemed to be separated by a layer of glass today. She shook her dizzy head and squeezed into the sofa.

For some reason, the two beauties started quarreling, and a group of people gathered around to watch.

The two began to curse each other viciously. You cursed me to die a horrible death, and I cursed you to have no descendants. Not surprisingly, they also cursed each other's elders, and no one in three generations was spared.

Cursing was not enough to vent their anger, so the two started fighting, pulling each other's hair and clothes, crying and cursing, and the situation was out of control. The intercom started to make a noisy sound, and soon the management and security rushed in, trying to stop the fight and persuade them to stop.

The two people who were fighting were separated. One of them had messy hair flying up in the air, false eyelashes hanging from the corners of his eyes, and blood on his lips. The clothes on the other's chest were torn open, and there were several scratches from fingernails on his white chest, oozing long beads of blood. The gold chain around his neck was also torn off, one part slipped into the cleavage of his chest, and the other part hung on his towering chest.

The two men were covered in bruises and wiping tears, and were invited by the management to have a heart-to-heart talk.

As soon as they walked out of the lounge, the onlookers began to discuss. Ye Zhenzhen listened to the general situation and thought it was nothing more than two girls fighting for the favor of one another. You steal my sponsor and cut off my source of income; I expose your past and tell the guests that you earn money to support your gigolo. In short, no one can think of anything good.

Ye Zhenzhen was unable to recover from the thrilling scene.

Her breathing was also light, and there were so many figures in front of her that she felt dizzy.

As usual, Ye Zhenzhen stood in the lobby on time, bowing and greeting every guest who arrived.

The sound of water flowing in the landscape fountain is particularly ethereal and pleasant, like a stream coming from distant mountains, quiet and peaceful, and like a dream.

Wen Baijing appeared in the lobby again, and there was a commotion in the princess team, and all the doubtful eyes were cast on him.

The colleague next to her touched Ye Zhenzhen's elbow lightly, her voice sounding somewhat excited.

"Ye Zhenzhen, why is he here again?"

Ye Zhenzhen was a little confused. Why did Bai Wenjing come again? She didn't understand.

She walked into the box with a frivolous pace. As soon as she entered the box, she dimmed the lights, only to find that the lights were particularly glaring.

Wen Baijing sat quietly on the sofa as usual, occasionally watching MVs, but most of the time he looked at Ye Zhenzhen.

Ye Zhenzhen was clicking the mouse on the hot song list. She felt a little flustered. Wen Baijing's joke was not funny. She felt like a prey, running back and forth in the hunter's sight.

My stomach also feels uncomfortable, as if every cell in my body is clamoring.

Wen Baijing crossed his legs, looked at Ye Zhenzhen who looked dazed, and tapped the table lightly.

Hearing the sound, she came to her senses.

Smiling, she came to Wen Baijing's side and found that his tea and wine were still full. She was a little puzzled and looked at Wen Baijing in confusion.

His eyes were slightly warm, and facing Ye Zhenzhen who was so close, his expression relaxed involuntarily, "Can you sit down and chat with me?"

Ye Zhenzhen widened her eyes and shook her head:

"Sorry, waiters will be fined if they sit on the sofa."

"How about," Wen Baijing pointed to the small stool in front of the computer desk, "Move it next to the sofa and sit on it. That will also work."

Ye Zhenzhen really wanted to refuse. She didn't want to chat, didn't want to tell her own story, and had no interest in other people's affairs.

She was a little tired, and thought that sitting on a small stool would provide her with a proper rest, so she moved the stool over and sat down next to the armrest of the sofa.

Seeing Ye Zhenzhen's cooperation, he tried to get her to say something, "If you don't want to talk about yourself, we can just talk about something else, okay?"

Ye Zhen Zhen felt a little lazy, so she put her elbows on the armrests and smiled foolishly, "Anything is fine?"

The warm breath of youth once again brushed across Wen Baijing's face, and kept sweeping, "Yes! Anything is fine, as long as you are willing to say it, I will listen carefully."

Ye Zhenzhen thought for a moment, with a sly look on her face and a hint of mischief in her tone: "Then I'll tell you, you have to listen carefully!" Looking at Wen Baijing who was looking expectant, she laughed to herself.

"Once upon a time," she paused, looked at Wen Baijing mysteriously, shook her head and said, "Once upon a time there was a mountain, and in the mountain there was a temple..."

It was an almost childlike expression that made people see her playfulness at a glance. It was not the kind of affectation that would disgust people, but simply the childish playfulness between childhood friends.

Wen Baijing frowned slightly, realizing that he was being teased, but he did not feel angry or dissatisfied.

The prank was not enough to offend him.

Watching Ye Zhenzhen's mischievous look, Wen Baijing pursed his lips, resisted the urge to laugh, pretended to be cold, and teased her deliberately:

"Ye Zhenzhen, are you really not afraid of being complained about?"

Hearing this, she lowered her eyes slightly like a child who had done something wrong, and said with a little grievance:

"You said it, you can say whatever you want..."

Seeing that she was serious, Wen Baijing slowly raised the corners of his lips, "Well, I said, anything is fine. Can you change the story to one that's not too brainless?"

Ye Zhenzhen felt her arms were a little tired, her brain quickly recalled, trying to start the search mode, "Let me think, think..."

Wen Baijing looked at her thinking and was a little dazed.

She felt her eyelids getting heavy and her head was a little heavy. "I'm so tired, can you let me take a break?"

Wen Baijing only felt that her voice was very soft, and her entire upper body was lying on the armrest of the sofa, "What's wrong with you?"

Ye Zhen Zhen waved her hands randomly, "It's okay, I'm just a little tired..."

Wen Baijing then realized that her face was pale, and patted her shoulder gently, "Ye Zhenzhen, you are not feeling well, I will take you to the hospital."

She dodged Wen Baijing's hand as if she had been electrocuted, struggled to stand up, and clasped her hands in front of her chest, "I'm fine!"

Seeing that she was a little unsteady, Wen Baijing was about to support her hand, but stopped in mid-air.

Ye Zhenzhen's feet felt weak and she didn't know which direction to put her strength in. Her body was swaying and the world suddenly fell down.

"What's wrong with you? Ye Zhenzhen, let's go to the hospital."

The figures of Wen, Bai and Jing overlapped in front of him, and their voices were filled with anxiety.

Her body softened and slid into Wen Baijing's arms. She suddenly felt less tired and the surroundings became quiet. She grabbed Wen Baijing's sleeve tightly and said, "...at least let me change clothes before going to the hospital... ok?"

Ye Zhenzhen was afraid that others would know that she worked here, and she didn't want to leave this place, still showing off in her work clothes. Her contradictory and pitiful self-esteem was still alive when she was about to faint.

Wen Baijing hugged the feverish Ye Zhenzhen, his brows furrowed.

The warm and soft beauty was in his arms, hanging on Wen Baijing's neck, pressed against his chest, her face pale, her eyes closed, and she said with a weak breath in a coma: "... Can you... not leave me..." Wen Baijing was stunned for half a second, his heart beating wildly.

Wen Baijing ran wildly all the way, carrying Ye Zhenzhen in his arms, despite everyone's sidelong glances. He drove anxiously in the night where light and darkness mixed together.

Afterwards, she didn't remember how she changed her clothes or how she got to the hospital. She only remembered fragments of Wen Baijing holding her through the unclear tunnel.

It was as if I was on the top of a snowy mountain, with the cold wind wrapping around the cold pines. The chilly air went straight into my lungs, mixed with a barely perceptible warmth.

Before she passed out, she vaguely saw a scene somewhere in the KTV lobby, where a piece of Li Yu's last words was written in imitation of Wang Xizhi's modern cursive script, "When will the spring flowers and autumn moons end? How much do I know about the past..."
