Chapter 5: The Dark Magic Shop

"Erin, I'm back."

As soon as Snape walked into the house, he saw Irene, wearing a scarf and looking haggard, walking out of the kitchen.

When Irene saw Snape, her face was full of joy. She rushed over and hugged Snape in her arms, and said with fear: "Sev, where did you run to? I was scared to death. I looked for you all night yesterday."

Snape, who was held tightly in his arms, felt a little guilty and explained, "I fainted on the road yesterday. A kind lady took me home and took care of me all night. She also gave me a Christmas present."

Irene then noticed that Snape was wearing a new dress and said in surprise, "What a kind lady."

Thinking of Jiang Li's handsome face, Snape agreed with this sentence in his heart, just like Merlin sent an angel to give him a gift on Christmas Day.

As the two were talking, there was a sound of kicking the door and Tobias' drunken voice was heard outside the door.

"Open the door, open the door! This is my home, you monsters."

The good mood was instantly broken, Snape frowned and looked at the door with gloomy eyes.

"Mom, don't open the door for him. He's drunk and will definitely go crazy and hit people. Just lock him at the door." Snape said.

"How could you do this? He's your father. It's too cold outside. He'll get frozen." When Irene heard Tobias' voice, she couldn't control herself and coaxed Snape, "You go upstairs first. I'll take care of Tobias."

Hearing this, Snape felt a little uncomfortable. He grabbed Irene's hand and said to her, "Why don't you divorce Tobias and we live together. You don't have to worry about your money being stolen to buy alcohol, and you won't be beaten again."

Irene looked at Snape in disbelief and said, "How could you have such a terrible idea? How can we live without your father?"

"We'll be better off without him," Snape said loudly.

Afraid that Tobias outside the door might hear these words, Irene quickly pushed Snape and raised her voice nervously, "Don't say these words anymore. Go back to your room!"

There was a hint of severity in her voice.

Snape's lips moved and his inky eyes stared at Irene, wanting to say something, but Irene had already nervously pushed him into the room.

As soon as the door closed, Snape heard Tobias's cursing coming from outside.

"Are you deaf? You didn't open the door until I shouted for so long. Are you stealing a man in there?"

"Tobias, how can you say such things? You are the one I love, and I will never betray you. It's Sif who is back. He is resting now. Let's keep our voices down, okay?"

Irene's humble plea was heard from outside the door.

"What! That little monster didn't die outside? Why did you let him in? I'm really fed up with you monsters. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this state. Where's the money? Take it out."

"Tobias, we have no money left."

“No money?!”

There was a sound of rummaging around outside, followed by Tobias cursing.

"You said you have no money, then what is this?"

"No! Don't do this, Tobias. This is the subsidy I just received. You can't take it away!"

Then outside came the sounds of various wine bottles breaking, fists hitting flesh, and Irene's deliberately suppressed sobbing.

The expression on Snape's face gradually became numb, and the light in his eyes gradually dimmed. He had already imagined the scene outside. It was still the same as before, and his life remained unchanged.

He took off the clothes he was wearing and put on the big, long old clothes in the closet.

He folded the brand new clothes carefully and placed them in the deepest part of the closet. He couldn't help but touch the soft fabric of the clothes before he closed the closet door.

Jiang Li returned home, shook off the snow on his boots, and went back to the alchemy room, intending to continue refining self-defense armor.

The prices of alchemical items on the market now are very expensive, especially the defensive alchemical items.

She studied several special magic circles and planned to merge them together to see if she could succeed.

Drawing a magic circle is a task that requires a lot of patience and carefulness, and it is also extremely dangerous.

Jiang Li had blown up his alchemy room several times before, and all the alchemical items inside were damaged. Later, Jiang Li learned his lesson and put those valuable alchemical items in a bracelet cast with the Traceless Extension Spell in advance to reduce the loss.

Jiang Li held his breath and carefully drew the last stroke with his magic wand, fusing together a dozen magic circles of different sizes.

The moment the last stroke was completed, dozens of magic circles lit up instantly. Jiang Li immediately took a few steps back to avoid being killed by the repulsion of the magic circles.

Violent magical fluctuations raged in the room. After a few seconds, the magic pattern of the heart-protecting armor placed on the table slowly calmed down.

Seeing this, Jiang Li knew that he had succeeded, and a happy expression appeared on his face.

She raised her wand and fired a curse at the armor.

A red light shot out from the wand and hit the armor, which immediately lit up with white light, blocking the evil curse.

"It finally worked."

Jiang Li walked forward excitedly and touched the armor.

She has been studying this armor for a month and has finally made some progress. It looks like she can trade it now.

Although there are still a lot of gold Galleons in Gringotts' vault, there is no income and it is easy to run out of money. Besides, making potions and alchemy are too expensive, so we still have to find an investor.

Jiang Li cast a few more evil spells at the armor. Seeing that the armor became unstable after the sixth time, he knew the extent of the armor's wear and tear. It seemed that it was too easy to break.

She had no idea that this type of armor was a priceless item in the alchemy market, and that some of the better protective alchemy items could only offset damage once.

After studying for a few more days, Jiang Li used the remaining materials to make a similar armor spell, intending to go to Knockturn Alley to sell her protective gear.

She didn't notice at all that after she Apparated, there was a small figure lingering nearby.

Snape had looked for it several times recently, but he didn't see the familiar house or figure, and the little group of people were a little disappointed.

He felt that Jiang Li might have forgotten him a long time ago.

Maybe that day was just a dream he had.

Jiang Li teleported to Knockturn Alley. This alley was narrow and the wizards passing by were all wearing black wizard robes. Most of them had their faces covered tightly or had changed their appearances, looking around vigilantly.

Jiang Li, wearing a light-colored coat, was particularly conspicuous in Knockturn Alley, like a sheep entering a pack of wolves.

Jiang Li had just taken a few steps when she felt as if there were a few little tails following her.

She pretended not to notice these people and walked into a dark magic shop next door.

The store is filled with all kinds of eerie black magic items, many of which are made of bones, exuding an evil and ominous aura.

Jiang Li walked slowly, looking at these black magic items and trying to figure out their uses.

It was so ugly, she felt that if she were to make a dark magic item, she would definitely not choose such an ugly shape.

"Ma'am, do you want to buy anything?"

An ugly man with wrinkles all over his face and pustules on his face, hunched over, suddenly appeared in front of Jiang Li and asked him.

The face looked so scary that Jiang Li almost couldn't help but punch the other person.
