Chapter 3 You Can Give It a Try

No one had ever said anything like that to Snape.

Everyone thought he was an ominous monster, they hated him, they despised him, the children would hide away when they saw him, throw stones at him, they were afraid and disgusted with him, Tobias always scolded himself for ruining his beautiful life, Irene always advised him not to make Tobias angry, it seemed that no one in this world liked his existence, but...

"You are a treasure of this world."

Jiang Li looked at Snape with a confused look in his eyes and said seriously again: "You are so cute, nothing can compare to you."

No, he was not precious at all, he was not even as good as a bottle of wine Tobias bought, and no one would like him.

Snape denied it in his heart, but his eyes and heart felt hot, as if something was about to jump out. His throat seemed to be stuck and he couldn't utter a word.

"Drink the potion quickly, I still have a lot." Jiang Li urged.

She really didn't know how to comfort a crying child, and she didn't know how her master could raise so many children.

Snape stroked the potion bottle with his fingertips and drank the potion reluctantly under Jiang Li's gaze.

The potion tasted very bad, so bitter that Snape's face wrinkled, but he was still unwilling to waste a drop, and he couldn't help licking the bottle after drinking it.

After licking, Snape realized that Jiang Li was looking at him, and his face turned red instantly, not daring to look directly into Jiang Li's eyes.

Seeing the young wizard's embarrassment, Jiang Li said softly, "It seems that the potion tastes a bit unpalatable. Maybe I should develop some delicious flavors."

"The potion is very good and very effective." Snape answered immediately, his eyes shining as he looked at Jiang Li and asked, "Can you make potions?"

"A little bit." Jiang Li sat on the chair beside the bed, made a little gesture, looked at Snape and asked, "Do you like potions very much?"

Snape nodded heavily.

He had seen Irene secretly brewing potions when Tobias was away. Irene, who was brewing potions, was like a different person, with a look in her eyes that he had never seen before.

It’s a pity that every time Tobias comes back, Irene will return to her original state and ask him not to tell anyone about it.

Thinking of what happened today, Snape's mood instantly dropped a lot.

Noticing his emotional changes, Jiang Li pulled out a book called "Basic Potion Making" from the bookshelf next to him and handed it to Snape.

"You seem to like potions, so you should like this book."

When he saw the title of the book, Snape's eyes lit up. He carefully took the book from Jiang Li and began to read it eagerly.

Jiang Li smiled slightly, resting his chin on his hand as he looked at the boy and said, "I also have a room for making potions here. If you are interested, I can take you to learn. I also know a little bit about potions. If you don't understand anything, you can ask me."

Hearing this, Snape looked at Jiang Li with eyes full of joy and expectation and said, "Is it really possible? I... I don't have any money."

Jiang Li laughed and said, "No need to pay, you can come here to help me, I can pay you, the labor of a little wizard is very valuable."

Most of the people Snape came into contact with were full of malice. This was the first time he had seen someone as kind as Jiang Li. He was a little overwhelmed for a moment.

"I don't need money, you've given me a lot."

"Just think of it as my investment in you in advance."

Jiang Li looked at the thin boy gently, as if he saw the little junior brother when he first arrived at the sect, anxious and trying hard to please everyone.

"This book is for you to read. You can rest early."

Sensing that Snape was uneasy, Jiang Li stood up and left the room to allow the boy to rest better.

Snape was the only one left in the room.

He touched the potion book in his hand and looked at the warmly decorated room, feeling a sense of unreality.

The light blue sheets were embroidered with white daisies. He hugged the quilt and buried his face in it. He could also smell the faint floral scent, which made him feel relaxed.

Snape caught a glimpse of the sleeves of clothes from the corner of his eye, and quickly turned over the quilt to see that he was wearing a white silk shirt with gold buttons and beautiful patterns. It was soft and comfortable to wear.

Snape's first reaction was that the dress was expensive.

He buried his face in the quilt, thinking about the girl's gentle smile just now, and thought greedily, if only this dream would never end.

If this wasn't a dream, how could he be so happy?

After lying in bed for a while, Snape got up again and began to read the potion book eagerly.

Irene also has potion books, but they are too complicated and he can't understand many of them. This one is just right.

The fire flickered in the fireplace, and Snape's small figure was reflected on the wall. He couldn't help scratching his head.

I don’t know some words, but there is no one to ask.

Jiang Li left the guest room and went back to the bedroom to rest.

Although alchemy is indeed fascinating, today is Christmas Eve, so I should give myself a day off and have a good rest. Besides, it seems that there will be more children in the family, so I should prepare some Christmas gifts.

The next day, when Jiang Li woke up from bed and wanted to lie down a little longer, he heard the sound of plates being broken outside the house.

Then she remembered that she had picked up a child and brought him home yesterday, and she resigned herself to her fate and got up from the bed.

Outside the house, Snape looked at the broken plates with a pale face, at a loss for a moment.

When Jiang Li opened the door, he saw food on the table. Snape was standing beside the table with a nervous look on his face, sweat already starting to form on his forehead.

"Are you getting up so early to prepare breakfast for me?"

Jiang Li looked at Snape with surprise, and with a casual movement of "restore to new state", the broken plate on the ground immediately returned to its original state.

She walked over to Snape, bent down and picked up the plate.

"You're a wizard!"

The boy looked at Jiang Li excitedly, feeling that he had found his own kind.

"I thought I was very obvious yesterday." Jiang Li joked.

Snape's face turned red. He had been studying the Potions book yesterday and had no time to think about other people's things.

Fortunately, Jiang Li didn't want to tease her any further. She pointed at the living room with her fingertips, and a stream of white light poured out from her fingertips, jumping around the fireplace and the wall in the living room.

The originally minimalist living room was immediately decorated with colorful light bulbs and ribbons, and a Christmas tree full of candies appeared out of thin air in the living room.

Snape watched all this in shock, his mouth unable to close.

"You are so awesome!"

He praised Jiang Li generously, his eyes full of admiration.

"It's okay, you will be able to do it in the future." Jiang Li replied.

Snape imagined himself using magic in the future, and his heart surged. He noticed that Jiang Li had nothing in his hands, and asked curiously, "Don't wizards have their own wands? Can you use magic without a wand?"

"Wand? Is that what you mean?"

Jiang Li took out a rosewood wand with a simple pattern from the alchemy bracelet.

This is the wand Jiang Li made for herself when he saw how to make a wand. It suits her very well.

Snape looked at the wand with shining eyes.

Unlike Irene's secretly hidden wand, this wand looked very powerful.

Seeing how interested he was, Jiang Li asked, "Do you want to try it?"
