Chapter 1: The Amazing Adventures of a Top Student in a Fantasy World
Lin Xiao stood between the rows of tall bookshelves in the library, with bright lights pouring down from above, making her figure particularly clear. She tightly grasped the thick review material, frowning, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead, and muttered to herself: "Oh my, this exam is really going to kill me. Why are these knowledge points like a tangled mess? I can't figure it out no matter how hard I try!" She complained anxiously while quickly flipping through the pages of the book, with a hint of anxiety and helplessness in her eyes.
Suddenly, a dazzling light, like fireworks blooming in the night sky, exploded in the depths of the bookshelf. The light was so strong that it was impossible to look directly at it, and instantly swallowed up Lin Xiao's entire body. "Oh my God! What's going on?" Lin Xiao's eyes widened in horror, and he subconsciously put his hands in front of his eyes, trying to block the dazzling light.
Then, a strong suction force that seemed to suck everything in suddenly hit, and Lin Xiao felt as if her body was being dragged into a bottomless black hole by an invisible giant hand. "Help!" Her scream echoed in the darkness, her voice full of fear and despair, but was instantly swallowed up by the endless void.
When Lin Xiao regained consciousness, he found himself in a vast field. The sun was blazing and dazzling, and it made the ground under his feet so hot that it seemed to melt the soles of his shoes. The air was filled with a strong smell of soil and wild flowers, which was so strong that it made him feel dizzy.
"Oh my god! Where is this? Am I not studying in the library?" Lin Xiao looked confused and terrified. She looked around in panic, her eyes wide open, as if she wanted to see through everything around her. The mountains in the distance were rolling and undulating, like a sleeping giant. The majestic outline made people feel both shocked and terrified.
At this moment, a mysterious and ethereal voice came to her ears: "Congratulations, you have successfully traveled to the Fantasy World Continent."
Lin Xiao jumped up in shock and yelled, "What? Time travel? What the hell is this! I don't want to travel through time! I'm still waiting for the exam!" She pulled her hair frantically and stomped her feet hard, raising a cloud of dust. She looked like a madman out of control.
The voice remained unmoved and continued, "You are just a little country girl in this world, but you have extraordinary potential."
Lin Xiao's eyes widened and he shouted angrily, "Potential? I think I'm unlucky! This is a shabby place with no cell phone signal. How can I get back?"
At this moment, a noise came from a village not far away. Lin Xiao looked in the direction of the sound curiously and saw a group of villagers gathered in front of a dilapidated hut, with anxiety and helplessness written all over their faces.
Villager A's face flushed with anxiety, and he cried, "Oh, what should I do? My child is so sick that he is almost dying!"
Lin Xiao's heart tightened, and he walked over involuntarily and said, "Let me see."
Villager B looked her up and down with suspicion and said, "What do you know, you little country girl? Stop making trouble!"
Lin Xiao rolled her eyes at him and said firmly, "Hmph, don't look down on me. I'm a top student. This little illness won't bother me!" As she spoke, she squatted down and carefully observed the child's symptoms. The child's face was as pale as paper, and his breathing was so weak that it was almost unnoticeable. Lin Xiao's brows were getting tighter and tighter.
She gently lifted the child's wrist, felt the pulse, and muttered, "This pulse... Is it poisoning? Or is it infected with some strange bacteria?" Lin Xiao's brain was working rapidly, recalling the medical knowledge she had learned from books.
After careful consideration, Lin Xiao stood up suddenly and said to the villagers: "Don't panic, I'll go pick some herbs!"
After saying that, she ran towards the depths of the field, her figure looking firm and resolute in the sunlight. While running, Lin Xiao searched for herbs everywhere, her clothes were soaked with sweat, but she didn't care at all.
"Oh, this one seems to be it, but I'm not quite sure." Lin Xiao muttered to himself, his brows furrowed and his expression very conflicted.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up and she saw a familiar herb. "Haha, I finally found it!" She shouted excitedly, with a happy smile on her face.
After collecting the herbs, Lin Xiao hurried back to the hut. She processed and mixed the herbs skillfully, and then carefully fed them to the child.
The villagers gathered around, their eyes fixed on her every move, not daring to make a sound.
Finally, the child's face gradually showed a hint of color and his breathing became steady.
"Great, the child is saved!" The villagers cheered, their faces filled with joyful smiles.
Lin Xiao sat aside tiredly, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and smiled with satisfaction.
At this moment, a mysterious man appeared at the entrance of the village. He was wearing a black robe, with a handsome but stern face.
"This little country girl has some skills." The man raised the corners of his mouth slightly, with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
Lin Xiao raised his head and looked at the man, feeling an inexplicable sense of vigilance in his heart.
"Who are you?" Lin Xiao asked.
The man smiled and said, "I am a doctor in this area. I heard that someone here is seriously ill, so I came here to check on him."
Lin Xiao frowned and said, "The child is fine now. Thank you for your concern."
The man shook his head and said, "This is only temporary. The child's illness has not yet been completely cured."
Lin Xiao was shocked and asked, "What do you mean?"
The man smiled without saying anything and turned away.
Lin Xiao fell into deep thought. Who was this mysterious man? Was the child's illness really not completely cured?
……
What strange people and things will Lin Xiao encounter in this fantasy world? Can she find a way back to the real world? Everything is still unknown.
