Chapter 303: House of Ruins
The three of them were startled and quickly turned around to look, but the light was too dazzling and they couldn't see clearly what was going on.
"Click!" The lights were turned off, and they could see that it was a minibus.
"Why is there a bus here?" Youya looked puzzled.
The driver was a man in his thirties. He opened the window, stuck half of his head out and shouted, "Hey, cars ahead, don't block the middle of the road. Get out of the way!"
The three of them looked at each other in surprise: "We are saved!"
···
On the bus, the uncle laughed heartily while driving: "You are so unlucky. Not only are you lost, but the car is out of gas."
Yuya laughed dryly and said, "Yeah, my luck is pretty bad."
Suzuki Sonoko couldn't help but smile awkwardly when she heard this. The reason they were in this situation was because she remembered the wrong way.
"Uncle, where are you going? Isn't there a station in this deep forest?"
“Hahaha, no,” the uncle laughed, “This is the car of my hotel. I just sent a group of guests away and was about to go back when I met you.”
"Hotel?" Youye's eyes widened in surprise, "Really? There's a hotel here?"
If there was a hotel, I wouldn't have to stay in the car tonight.
Although a sports car is comfortable to drive, it is a bit uncomfortable to use it as a bed for a night.
The uncle glanced at the rearview mirror. The three young men were looking at him curiously. He smiled mysteriously, "Yes, don't people in cities like weird things? So I opened a hotel with ruins as the theme in this 'Land of Ruins'. It's surprisingly popular!"
"The Town of Ruins?" The three of them looked at each other with puzzled expressions.
"Yeah? Are you interested? I see you can't go home today, why don't you stay at my hotel for one night?" The uncle enthusiastically tried to attract business.
The three of them naturally had no reason to refuse: "Then please."
Soon, the bus arrived in front of a rather shabby hotel. The outer walls were covered with moss and the bricks were broken, giving people the feeling that no one lived there at all.
"Is this... a hotel?" Suzuki Sonoko couldn't help but reveal a look of disgust.
“Hahaha,” the uncle laughed, “My hotel may look a little shabby, but it’s actually quite famous among the people in the city!”
Suzuki Sonoko's mouth twitched slightly. Famous? If there really was such an interesting place, how come she had never heard of it?
Could it be that this uncle saw that they were in trouble and just dragged them to a random place with the intention of blackmailing them?
It seemed that this uncle was no match for Yuya. Suzuki Sonoko compared the two men and felt a little relieved.
Yuya and Miyano Shiho couldn't help but reveal a look of doubt.
"Well, no matter how much you say, it's better to see it with your own eyes. Let's go in! I see that you guys are all caught in the rain. Change your clothes quickly to avoid catching a cold. Do you have any spare clothes with you?"
"Bring it."
"Then get out of the car!"
The uncle drove the bus closer and shouted towards the door, "Midori, guests are coming! Hurry up and bring some umbrellas to greet them!"
"Coming!" a female voice came from inside.
Soon, the door was opened and a woman in her thirties came out holding several umbrellas.
The uncle smiled and introduced: "I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Naoki Oishi and this is my wife, Midori."
Midori Oishi followed the other two into the hotel and looked around. From the outside, the hotel looked like a ruin, but from the inside...
Still like a ruin.
If there weren't some clean sofas and other things in the hall, they would have thought this was a real ruin.
"Midoko, take the three guests to their rooms quickly. They have been caught in the rain, so they need to take a shower and change their clothes immediately, otherwise they will catch a cold and it will be troublesome." said Naoki Oishi.
"Okay, everyone follow me." said Oishi Midori with a smile.
Yuya introduced himself first, then followed Midori Oishi to the room.
As they walked, she introduced: "This is the hotel my husband and I opened together. It is themed after ruins, so we named it the Ruins House.
Don’t be fooled by its shabby exterior, it’s quite popular and fully booked. If a few guests hadn’t left today, you might not have had a room.”
"Huh? Is this true?" Suzuki Sonoko was surprised. Would anyone really stay in such a shabby hotel?
"Of course it's true," Midori Oishi smiled gently, looked at Yuya and Miyano Shiho who were obviously standing very close to each other, and said with some embarrassment, "But there are only two vacancies now, who are you..."
Just as Yuya was about to speak, Miyano Shiho pinched him and said, "We'll share a room," then pointed at Yuya, "He'll have a room to himself."
Yuya pursed his lips in grievance and looked at Miyano Shiho with resentful eyes.
Miyano Shiho couldn't help but glare at him and mouthed: Sonoko is here!
Yuya could only nod helplessly.
Suzuki Sonoko looked back and forth suspiciously at the two of them. What were they whispering in code? She felt something was wrong!
The two vacant rooms happened to be next door.
Oishi Midori smiled and handed the keys to the three people: "Okay, take a shower and change clothes quickly. By the way, do you need to prepare dinner?"
"That's troublesome." Yuya said politely.
"Okay, come to the dining room when you're ready, I'll prepare the food."
"Thank you."
The three of them thanked him and went into the room to take a shower and change clothes.
Yuya entered the room and was surprised to find that although the interior looked shabby and the walls were even moldy, there was no strange smell.
He couldn't help but walk over and touch it, and he suddenly realized that the mold spots were just paint.
Looking at the layout of the room, the furniture was deliberately made to look old, and it didn't look like a ruin as the hotel seemed on the surface. The bed sheets were also brand new.
It seems that this is indeed just a ruins-themed hotel, not real ruins.
But it's really magical to be in a place like this.
If a murder happened, it would be very convenient to dispose of the body, right?
Yuya felt amused at the sudden thought that came to his mind. He put down his things, went into the bathroom, took a hot shower, changed his clothes and walked out of the room.
I plan to borrow my boss's phone and contact someone to send some gasoline over.
When I came downstairs, I saw Naoki Oishi sitting behind a counter. There was a notebook spread out on the table and a calculator next to it. It seemed like he was doing some accounting.
"Uncle," Youya walked over and greeted him.
"Ah, it's Kamiya-kun. How's the room? Is there anything you need?" Naoki Oishi raised his head and smiled warmly.
You also smiled. This uncle was very enthusiastic and gave people a very comfortable feeling. He said, "The room is quite interesting. I want to borrow the phone and contact someone to send some gasoline back tomorrow, otherwise the car will not be able to drive back."
"Gasoline? I have some here." Naoki Oishi said with a smile.
"Oh? That's great." Youya said in surprise.
"But, this..." Naoki Oishi suddenly showed an obscene smile and rubbed his fingers.
Yuya laughed dumbly: "As long as there is gasoline, it's easy to talk about."
Seeing Yuya being so generous, Oishi Naoki immediately laughed happily: "That's no problem, I'll prepare it for you before you leave tomorrow. How much do you need? Your sports car doesn't look cheap. It's amazing that you're willing to drive here. Is one bucket enough?"
Youya thought about it and said, "That's about right. I saw a gas station on my way here. I just need to drive there."
Naoki Oishi made an OK gesture.
