Chapter 254 The Villain Lady Arrives 82

Aidan smiled and nodded, "Very good, Alice. You are ready to become one of us. But before that, I need to take you to see someone."

After saying this, he turned around and gave a few instructions to the maid, who then left in a hurry.

Not long after, an old man in a gorgeous robe walked into the hall. His face was kind and majestic. He was the Archbishop of the Church of Light.

"Your Excellency," Aidan stepped forward and saluted respectfully, "I have brought Miss Alice with me. She has decided to join our Church of Light."

The Archbishop's eyes swept over Alice gently, as if he could see through her heart. He nodded in approval: "Miss Alice, I admire your courage and tenacity. Welcome to join our big family."

Alice bowed deeply again: "Thank you, Your Excellency the Archbishop, for your acceptance and trust."

The archbishop smiled, stretched out his hand, and gently patted Alice on the shoulder: "Child, you don't have to be so reserved. Here, we are all working towards the same goal. I believe that your joining will make our church more glorious."

The Archbishop then turned to Aidan and said, “Aidan, you’ve done a great job.”

A gentle and profound light flashed in the Archbishop's eyes. He spoke slowly, his voice filled with kindness and majesty that could not be rejected:

"Ms. Alice, your arrival has added a touch of color to the Church of Light. However, before you officially start your journey, I would like to invite you to take a stroll in the garden of this palace and feel the gift of nature and the protection of the gods. Every flower and every leaf there contains the mystery of life and the revelation of doctrine. Aidan, are you willing to lead Miss Alice there?"

Upon hearing this, Aidan straightened up immediately, with a gleam of expectation and responsibility in his eyes:

"Of course, Your Excellency the Bishop. It's my honor." He turned around and gave Alice an encouraging smile. In that smile was both a gentle guidance for the unknown and the joy for the new chapter that was about to begin.

Alice felt the warmth, and the tension and uneasiness in her heart gradually dissipated. She lifted her skirt slightly and saluted the archbishop again:

"Thank you for your arrangement, Your Excellency the Bishop. I will cherish this opportunity and experience it with my heart."

As Alice and Aidan slowly walked out of the hall, the Archbishop's eyes revealed some complicated emotions. He sighed softly and turned his gaze to Aidan, with both trust and expectation in his eyes:

"Aidan, your meeting with Miss Alice may be destiny. Her talent is far beyond our imagination. Her heart is pure and strong. She is a rare treasure of the Church of Light."

Hearing this, Aidan felt an inexplicable throbbing in his heart. He looked up at the archbishop, a trace of doubt flashing in his eyes:

"Your Excellency the Bishop, why do you think so highly of Alice? What is so special about her talent?"

The archbishop smiled slightly, and that smile contained profound wisdom and long-term planning:

"Alice not only possesses extraordinary magical talents, but more importantly, her inner desire and belief in light are stronger than anyone else's. In this turbulent era, we need such power to lead people towards light and hope. And you, Aidan, as a leader of the younger generation in the church, your wisdom, courage and sense of responsibility make me see your potential to become her guide."

Aidan was shocked when he heard this. He had never thought that he would take on such a heavy responsibility. He lowered his head, pondered for a moment, and then raised his head firmly:

"My Lord Bishop, I understand. I will do my best to help Miss Alice grow and make her the strongest supporter of the Church of Light."

The archbishop nodded with satisfaction, his eyes gleaming with approval:

"Very good, Aidan. Remember, true power does not only come from external magic and martial arts, but also from inner purity and determination. With your joint efforts, the Church of Light will usher in a more glorious future."

At the same time, Alice, accompanied by Aidan, strolled in the palace garden. The sun shone through the clouds and sprinkled on the gorgeous flowers, and each petal seemed to be shining with the brilliance of life. Alice took a deep breath of fresh air, feeling the gift of nature, and her heart was filled with unprecedented peace and joy.

"It's so beautiful here, Aidan." Alice said softly, her eyes shining with curiosity and love for this world.

Aidan smiled and nodded: "Yes, Alice. This is not only a garden, but also a pure land for the soul. I hope you can find your own peace and strength here."

As they walked and talked, Aidan told Alice about the history and teachings of the Church of Light, as well as his own experience growing up in the church. Alice was fascinated.

"Aidan, I am really grateful to you. It is you who made me see a different world and made me understand my mission." Alice said sincerely.

Hearing this, Aidan's mouth corners unconsciously rose, and his smile was a little more gentle and doting. He stopped and turned to face Alice, with an unprecedented light in his eyes.

"Alice, I am flattered by your gratitude. In fact, it is you who gave me hope. Your innocence and kindness are the most precious treasures in this world. It is my greatest luck to have you accompany me on this journey full of challenges and temptations."

Alice's cheeks flushed slightly, she lowered her head and smiled shyly.

At that moment, she felt as if countless butterflies were dancing in her heart. It was an unprecedented feeling, sweet and a little nervous. She bit her lower lip lightly, mustered up the courage to raise her head, and her eyes met Aidan's, with the same sincerity and expectation in her eyes.

"Aidan, I...I am also very happy to meet you. Under your guidance, I seem to have opened the door to a new world and seen scenery I have never seen before. I deeply admire your wisdom, courage, and persistence in light."

Alice's voice was soft but firm, and every word was like a spring flowing from the bottom of her heart, clear and pure.

Aidan's heart was deeply touched. He reached out and gently held Alice's hand. Although the hands were slender, they conveyed incomparable warmth and strength. He felt the slight trembling from Alice's fingertips, which was a true reflection of her inner feelings. Aidan's eyes flashed with tenderness, and he whispered:

"Alice, let us work together for light and hope"

Alice felt the warmth of Aidan's palm, as well as his determination and commitment, and a warm feeling surged in her heart.

She held Aidan's hand tightly, as if to treasure this warmth and strength forever. The two stood quietly in the garden, everything around them seemed to be still, only their heartbeats echoed in their ears.

After a long time, Aidan realized that it was late. He gently let go of Alice's hand with a hint of reluctance on his face. "Alice, it's getting late. I should take you back to the bedroom to rest."

Alice nodded, a hint of disappointment flashed across her eyes, but was quickly replaced by determination.

"Okay, Aidan. Thank you for your company today. I will get some rest."

Aidan smiled and nodded, then turned and led Alice deeper into the palace.

Along the way, the two did not speak again, but the air was filled with an indescribable tacit understanding and harmony. Aidan turned his head from time to time to look at Alice. Her profile looked particularly soft in the afterglow of the setting sun, and her clear eyes sparkled with longing and expectation for the future.

They arrived in front of Alice's bedroom. Aidan stopped and turned to face Alice, with complex emotions flashing in his eyes.

"Alice, good night. May the God of Light bless you and give you a sweet dream."

Alice smiled slightly, with gratitude and reluctance flashing in her eyes.

"Good night, Aidan. May the God of Light bless you and make our dreams come true soon."

After saying that, Alice gently pushed open the bedroom door, turned around and waved to Aidan, then slowly walked into the room.

Aidan stood there, watching Alice disappear behind the door, with an inexplicable feeling in his heart. He realized that his feelings towards Alice had quietly changed, from initial appreciation and respect to current liking and concern.

Aidan took a deep breath and tried to calm his heart. Now was not the time to express this feeling. They still had more important tasks to accomplish and a longer way to go.

He turned and left, silently making a wish in his heart: I hope I can be Alice's strongest support, accompany her through the wind and rain, and welcome a bright future.
