Chapter 233 The Villain Lady Arrives 61
Irene's arrows were as dense as raindrops, accurately killing one enemy after another; Mia continued to release various kinds of magic, from ice cones to lightning, and every attack made the goblins suffer.
As for Tariq, he wandered around the edge of the battlefield, using his superb control of magic to continuously release powerful magical attacks.
Sometimes he summoned a firestorm to engulf groups of goblins in a sea of fire; sometimes he cast a ring of frost to freeze the enemy in place, creating opportunities for his teammates to attack. Every move he made was accurate and deadly, making the goblins terrified.
However, just when the battle seemed to be about to be won, an even more shrill scream was heard from the depths of the cave, followed by a huge figure slowly walking out.
It was a monster several times taller than an ordinary goblin. It was clad in black armor, holding a huge war hammer, with wisdom flashing in its eyes - obviously, this was their target, the goblin leader.
"Be careful, that's the goblin leader!" Leo warned loudly, with a hint of solemnity in his voice.
The goblin leader roared to the sky, swung the hammer in his hand, and instantly released a powerful shock wave, which shattered the surrounding goblins and a small piece of ground. It did not seem to be afraid of the enemies in front of it, but seemed even more excited and crazy.
"Everyone, don't panic, follow the plan!" Leo quickly calmed down and commanded, "Kyle, you continue to attract its attention; Irene and Mia, look for opportunities to launch long-range attacks; Tariq, use your magic to give it a fatal blow!"
Upon hearing this, the team members immediately adjusted their tactics. Kyle rushed forward fearlessly, using his indestructible shield to block every attack from the Goblin leader.
Irene and Mia went around from both sides, looking for the best angle of attack; while Tariq kept a close eye on the goblin leader's every move, looking for the opportunity to release the most powerful magic.
The battle was once again in a stalemate, but this time, the team members were more tacit and united. They covered and supported each other, and together they resisted the fierce attack of the goblin leader.
Although the goblin leader was powerful, he gradually became overwhelmed by the repeated attacks from his team members.
At this moment, Tariq suddenly felt a powerful wave of magic emanating from the goblin leader. He was shocked and immediately realized that this was not an ordinary attack - this was the power of the goblin mage! It turned out that this goblin leader actually possessed the ability of a mage!
"Everyone be careful! It has the power of a wizard!" Tariq warned loudly, while quickly adjusting his magic formation to prepare for the impending crisis.
As expected, the goblin leader suddenly raised the hammer in his hand and smashed it to the ground, and a strong magical wave spread instantly.
Suddenly, sharp ice spikes appeared on the ground and stabbed at the team members. Fortunately, the team members were prepared and dodged them, so they did not suffer too much damage.
However, the Goblin leader's attack did not stop but became more and more fierce. It continuously released various powerful magic attacks in an attempt to capture all the team members.
Faced with this sudden change, the team members did not panic but united more closely to resist the fierce attack of the goblin leader.
Finally, in a fierce battle, Taric found the opportunity to release the strongest magic. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and concentrated all his strength on the staff.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw a bright light bursting out from the top of the staff, which instantly turned into a huge magic beam heading straight for the goblin leader.
"The ultimate secret - Flamestorm!" Tariq shouted in a low voice.
As his voice fell, the magic beam instantly exploded and turned into flames that surrounded the goblin leader.
The goblin leader's screams and wails were heard in the flames but were soon swallowed up by the raging flames.
When the flames finally went out, the goblin leader's huge body had turned to ashes, leaving only some charred armor fragments scattered on the ground.
The battle was finally over. The team members stood on the battlefield and looked at the scene in front of them with tired but satisfied smiles.
"We won!" Leo shouted excitedly, his voice full of excitement and pride.
The team members gathered around and hugged each other to celebrate this hard-earned victory.
Amid the cheers and hugs of victory, the fatigue of the team members seemed to be dispelled by an invisible force, and was replaced by joy and a sense of accomplishment.
Leo was the first to break the jubilation, his voice steady and powerful:
"Everyone, don't rush to celebrate. We still have to go deeper into the cave to see if there are other threats, and..."
He glanced at the crowd, a trace of solemnity flashing in his eyes, "And those innocent people who might be imprisoned."
Hearing this, Tariq could not help but feel a complex emotion in his heart. For cruel creatures like goblins, imprisoning and abusing the weak is almost their nature. He clenched his staff and nodded firmly:
"The captain is right. We cannot leave any hidden dangers, and we cannot let innocent people continue to suffer."
Irene, Kyle, and Mia also agreed. They quickly packed their equipment and prepared to step into the unknown depths of the cave again. The team members exchanged firm glances with each other, as if to say, "No matter what difficulties lie ahead, we will face them together."
Following Leo's order, the team set out on their journey again. This time, their steps were more cautious and their weapons were held more tightly.
Inside the cave, the dim candlelight flickered, illuminating the mottled stone walls around it. An indescribable stench permeated the air, which was the unique smell of a goblin's lair.
"It's hard to imagine how these guys survive in such an environment." Kyle frowned, covered his mouth and nose with his sleeves, his tone full of disgust.
"Don't be distracted, we have to be careful." Leo reminded in a low voice, his eyes as sharp as an eagle, always alert to the movements around him.
The team members walked slowly along the narrow passage, taking every step with extreme caution. Suddenly, a faint cry came from the front, breaking the silence in the cave. Everyone's spirits were immediately lifted, and they quickened their pace and followed the sound.
After turning a corner, the team members were shocked by the scene in front of them. In a dim space, they saw several shabby wooden cages scattered on the ground, with several ragged and haggard women curled up inside.
Some of them are humans, some are elves, and some are orcs, and there are women of all races.
Their eyes were filled with fear and despair, but the moment they saw their team members, a glimmer of hope ignited in their eyes.
