Chapter 205: Life and Death Decision in the Fantasy World: Lin Xiaomoyu's Extreme Breakout
The night was like thick ink that could not be dissolved, tightly wrapping the entire Fantasy World Continent in a deep darkness. The cold moon hung high in the sky, and its cold light was like a thin layer of frost, falling on the ground, but it could not illuminate the endless darkness. Lin Xiao and Mo Yu stood side by side on the top of a steep mountain, and the howling wind swept past, as if to drag them into the bottomless abyss.
Lin Xiao frowned, her eyes were filled with deep worry and confusion, as if they could penetrate the thick night and reach the unknown distance. She bit her lips so hard that they turned white. "Mo Yu, the road ahead is full of fog. Can we really find a way out?" Her voice trembled in the wind, with a hint of despair and fear.
Mo Yu held Lin Xiao's hand tightly, trying to give her some warmth and strength. His expression was firm but with a hint of confusion that was difficult to conceal. The veins on his forehead were slightly bulging because of nervousness. "Xiao'er, no matter what, we can't give up." His voice was low and powerful, as if he was talking to Lin Xiao, or cheering himself up.
At this moment, the surroundings were so quiet that it made people feel creepy. Only the whistling sound of the wind was raging in the ears, and that sound seemed like the cries of countless wronged souls.
Suddenly, a sinister laugh echoed in the valley. The laugh sounded like it came from the Netherworld, making people's hair stand on end. "Hahahaha, do you think you can escape this chess game of fate?" The sound echoed back and forth in the valley, shaking the broken stones on the mountain wall to fall.
Lin Xiao and Mo Yu looked at each other, their eyes full of vigilance and determination. "Who is it? Come out!" Lin Xiao shouted loudly, his voice becoming sharp because of anger.
A dark figure slowly walked out of the darkness. His figure was blurry in the moonlight, and one could only feel a strong sense of oppression coming towards him. "Little girl, don't be so angry." The dark figure sneered, and his voice seemed to carry ice chips, which made people's backs cold.
Lin Xiao glared at him, her chest heaving violently, "Who are you? Why are you stopping us?" Her eyes were burning with anger, as if she wanted to burn the black shadow to ashes.
The shadow let out a strange laugh that echoed in the valley. "Who am I? You will find out soon. But now, you must make a choice."
Mo Yu stepped forward and protected Lin Xiao behind him. His eyes were full of vigilance. "What choice?" His voice was low and majestic.
The shadow stretched out a hand and pointed to a deep path on the left. The path was shrouded in darkness and the end was unclear. "This path may lead to life, but it may also lead to eternal damnation." Then he pointed to a cliff on the right. Below the cliff was bottomless darkness. "This cliff may be a hopeless situation, but it may also hide a turning point."
Lin Xiao bit her lips, leaving deep teeth marks on them. "What kind of choice is this? You're just teasing us!" Her voice was filled with tears.
Mo Yu pondered for a moment, his eyes switching back and forth between the path and the cliff, "Xiao'er, I think..."
Before Mo Yu could finish, the black shadow interrupted and said, "You only have a cup of tea to think about it." There was a hint of impatience in his voice.
Lin Xiao's heart was in her throat and her palms were full of sweat. "Mo Yu, I really don't know what to do." Her voice trembled with deep helplessness.
Mo Yu held Lin Xiao's hand tighter, his eyes firm and gentle, "Don't be afraid, Xiao'er, no matter which path we choose, I will be with you."
As time went by, the shadow's laughter echoed in my ears, making me feel upset. The air around me seemed to freeze, making it hard to breathe.
Finally, Lin Xiao took a deep breath, and a hint of determination flashed in her eyes, "Mo Yu, let's go to the left."
Mo Yu nodded without hesitation, "Okay, I'll listen to you."
The two resolutely walked towards the path on the left, taking every step carefully. Not long after they walked in, a mist surged up and instantly enveloped them.
"Mo Yu, I can't see you!" Lin Xiao shouted in panic, his voice full of fear.
"Xiao'er, I'm here!" Mo Yu's voice came from the fog, with a hint of anxiety.
At this moment, there were strange noises coming from all around, as if countless pairs of eyes were watching them in the dark. "What's that noise?" Lin Xiao's voice changed.
Mo Yu looked around vigilantly, "Be careful, there may be danger."
Suddenly, a huge monster rushed out from the fog. It was huge in size and pounced towards them with its fangs and claws bared.
"Ah!" Lin Xiao screamed.
Mo Yu went up to him without hesitation, "Don't be afraid, Xiao'er!"
A fierce battle begins...
