Chapter 187 I Know You Are Not

The eight-eyed giant spider sensed Vina's presence and immediately rushed towards her.

Looking at the spider as big as a car, Vina was so scared that she couldn't move. She didn't even have the courage to pick up the magic wand.

I was already sweating coldly, but my legs felt like they were filled with lead and I had no strength to lift them.

It was not until this moment that Vina realized that this seemingly beautiful magical world had always been hiding huge dangers.

It is not as beautiful as it appears, and you will die if you are not careful.

"Who can help me."

Vina was really scared.

Now she just wants to go back home, watch TV series quietly, and have some verbal fights with people online. She doesn't want to face these dangers.

Seeing the ferocious spider legs raised above her head, Vina closed her eyes in fear.

A wave of heat hit me.

The expected pain did not appear.

Vina opened her eyes carefully and saw the professor of alchemy standing in front of her, with flames burning on his arms. He held down the legs of the eight-eyed giant spider with one hand, and the flames instantly burned the eight-eyed giant spider's body.

The next second, the huge eight-eyed giant spider was burned to ashes by the flames.

Vina stared at his back blankly, feeling that Professor Su's figure was extremely tall at this moment.

This action angered the other Acromantulas, and all of them crawled towards them.

The dense spiders made Vina's trypophobia come on. She said to Jiang Li in a trembling voice, "Professor Su, go away. Don't worry about me. You can definitely escape by yourself."

It would definitely be inconvenient to bring her along, and she didn't want to be a burden to the professor.

Jiang Li glanced sideways. He didn't expect Vina to be so kind and to be thinking about others at this time. According to her previous character, she would really leave people here.

"It's okay, I'll take you out."

Her voice was calm but powerful.

Hearing this, Vina's eyes became hot and she choked up a little.

"Professor, there's really no need for you to put yourself in danger for me."

Jiang Li: “…” He is quite narcissistic.

She happened to be short of materials, so she decided to kill all these eight-eyed giant spiders.

I haven't been here for some time, and these spiders have reproduced too fast. I'll harvest them now to prevent students who like to come to the Forbidden Forest from encountering these things.

Flames rose from the tip of her wand, and a flaming phoenix flew out and swooped down towards the spiders.

The spider that was originally running towards them remembered a terrible demon.

That demon appeared a few years ago and almost wiped out their entire tribe. They had to recuperate for a long time before they were able to catch their breath, but now the demon has appeared again.

Some spiders were carrying their unhatched eggs and running out in a hurry, as if they were fleeing.

Jiang Li would never give them this opportunity and directly directed the flames to burn towards them.

In a moment, a strong smell of barbecue came from the forbidden forest, and the spiders were burning with crackling sounds.

Vina collapsed on the ground and stared at the scene blankly.

Jiang Li stopped only when he felt he had almost killed all of them.

After all, the noise was too loud and other people would come over to check it out.

These were the spiders raised by Hagrid. Jiang Li didn't want to face the scene of Hagrid holding a handkerchief and crying to him that he had killed his little cutie.

Jiang Li quickly collected the spider corpses, turned around and looked at the stunned Vina with a smile.

She walked up to Vina, stretched out her hand to her, and asked gently, "Are you okay?"

Vina subconsciously put her hand on it and her face suddenly turned red.

She tried to stand up, but felt a sharp pain in her ankle.

When I looked down, I found that my ankle had been cut at some point, and my entire calf had turned purple.

The giant eight-eyed spider just now scratched her foot and she was poisoned.

Vina turned pale when she realized this.

"Professor, am I going to die?" Vina said fearfully.

Seeing that she was trembling, Jiang Li picked her up and brought her to his alchemy room, where he searched for potions in Snape's medicine cabinet.

Because Jiang Li often went into the Forbidden Forest, Snape prepared a lot of antidotes for her.

Jiang Li quickly found the antidote for the eight-eyed giant spider and handed it to Vina, whose face had begun to turn blue.

"This is the antidote. You'll feel better after drinking it." Jiang Li said in a gentle voice.

Vina took it and drank it. The bitter and disgusting taste instantly rushed to her head, making her toes curl up. A painful expression appeared on her face.

How could a potion taste so bad?

Vina felt her hair stand on end because of the disgusting taste.

"Does it taste bad?"

Jiang Li handed her a glass of warm water and looked at her with concern.

Vina took the cup and said reluctantly, "Not bad."

"What happened? Why did you go to the Forbidden Forest?" Jiang Li asked.

Vina originally wanted to fool him, but after thinking about what she had done, she decided to tell Jiang Li the truth.

"What do you like about Snape?" Jiang Li asked curiously.

Apart from her, Snape's tone was far from gentle.

Vina was stunned by her question and remembered the reason why she originally wanted to attack Snape.

"Because he is very affectionate, once he falls in love with someone he won't let go easily, so I want to be with him."

Vina replied.

Her parents divorced and had their own families. Vina felt very lonely and wanted a lot of love, so she chose Snape, but the reality was completely different from what she had imagined.

This made Vina a little frustrated.

Jiang Li crossed his fingers and held his chin up while looking at Vina and said, "But he doesn't like you. Isn't there any use in having a deep affection for someone?"

"I...I don't know either."

Vina looked down at the ripples in the water cup, her eyes somewhat confused.

"If you just beg for the love and pity of others, you will never be satisfied. You must also have what the other person needs. Do you think there is something in you that the other person needs?" Jiang Li looked at her and said.

"Loving someone is about not having any reason and not asking for anything in return," Vina couldn't help but retort.

“Nothing in return, a very novel perspective.”

Jiang Li did not refute her, but looked at her and asked: "Are you willing to work for me for free forever?"

"Why should I work for you for free?"

"Look, you don't want to either."

Jiang Li smiled at Vina and said, "Do you think it's worth it to chase after someone who will never love you?"

"It's worth it as long as I like it." Vina whispered.

She believes that her love can melt even the ice.

"According to what you said, Snape's mother should be a person who truly loves selflessly." Jiang Li said deliberately.

Hearing this, Vina remembered the description of Irene in the book, and her face suddenly looked a little ugly, as if she had eaten a fly.

She held the water cup and suddenly didn't know what she was going to do.

"Just work hard to make yourself better and give yourself lots of love. You don't need to feel bad for others. Just feel good for yourself."

Jiang Li guessed Vina's mind and didn't want to beat around the bush with her, so he said slowly: "In fact, the first time I saw you, I realized that you were not the real Vina."

Hearing this, Vina stiffened all over, tightly gripped the glass in her hand, and her eyes were filled with panic.
