Chapter 174 R. A. B.

"what happened?"

James asked in confusion when he saw him reaching out to push the door.

"That's the Black elf in there."

Sirius pushed hard inside and yelled, "Kreacher, you don't have to hide, I've seen you, what are you thinking of doing in the professor's room!"

Kreacher was afraid that Regulus' secret would be discovered, so he pushed hard against the door from inside, trying to close it.

Seeing how hard Sirius was pushing, James took out his wand and cast a spell on the door.

"Alaho Opens"

The next second, the solid wooden door was blown into pieces.

The elf blocking the door in the room was startled and climbed up from the ground tremblingly.

Sirius immediately ran in, grabbed Kreacher, looked at him with cold eyes and said, "Why are you here? Did Regulus send you here to do something bad?"

Upon hearing this, the struggling Kreacher immediately defended loudly: "Master Regulus did not do anything bad. He protected me. He is a brave hero!"

Hearing this, Sirius sneered, with a hint of coldness in his eyes, and said, "Hero? He joined the Death Eaters and became Voldemort's lackey. How can such a person be called a hero?"

"I won't allow you to slander Master Regulus!"

Kreacher raised his fist to hit Sirius, but he was just bluffing and didn't really do it. His expression looked very angry.

"How did I slander him?"

Sirius let him go and sneered, "What's the difference between a fool like him who only cares about pure blood and those lunatics like Black?"

"Shut up! Shut up! I don't allow you to say that about Master Regulus! You pure-blood traitor."

Kreacher was so angry that he was shaking all over, his eyes were wide open, and his shriveled chest was heaving violently, as if he was going to rush up and pounce on Sirius in the next second. He waved his skinny arms and let out an angry roar.

James walked over and asked Sirius, "Is this your elf?"

Hearing this, Sirius curled his lips and said sarcastically, "This is the elf from the Black family, a product of ignorance. He has liked my brother who joined the Death Eaters since he was a child."

"Should we arrest him? He must have some conspiracy by coming here." James said seriously.

"Okay, arrest him."

Sirius felt that it must be Regulus who sent Kreacher here to steal something.

"What are you two doing?"

Just as the two were about to capture Kreacher, a deep voice came from behind them.

James turned his head and saw Snape standing at the door with a grim look on his face.

Snape frowned, staring at Sirius and James and asked, "What are you two doing here? Did you two break open the door?"

There were still fragments of wooden doors on the ground.

Hearing this, James felt a little guilty, and pretended to be calm and said, "So what if I blew it up? What are you doing here? You are not trying to steal the professor's things."

"You two are becoming more and more daring, having blasted open the professor's door and entered his room without permission."

Snape glanced at the two of them with cold eyes, then saw Kreacher in the living room and ordered, "Go back to your room."

Hearing this, Kreacher immediately returned to the room and closed the door tightly.

Seeing this, Sirius' eyes sternly stared at Snape and said, "What is your relationship with Regulus? Why would Kreacher listen to you?"

He knew how much the old, stupid elf hated people outside of his pure-blood family, and he would not listen to anyone's orders except his brother and the Black family.

Why can Snape order him around!

Snape waved his wand and restored the door to its original state. He looked at Sirius coldly, his chin slightly raised, "Do you really want to know?"

As if he had thought of something, Sirius's expression turned extremely ugly.

"You joined the Death Eaters?"

Hearing this, Snape looked at him with disgust, still as stupid as in his previous life.

"What does that look of yours mean?"

Sirius felt insulted and pointed his wand at Snape.

"idiot."

Snape raised his hand and knocked away his wand, and said with disgust: "Follow me, I will tell you the truth."

He walked towards Regulus' room.

Sirius didn't expect Snape to be so strong and could even cast silent spells. He knocked his wand away the moment he made a move.

You have to know his fighting level, there are few students in the whole academy who can beat him. I didn’t expect that this slug is so strong.

He followed with a sullen face.

James picked up his wand as well and followed behind.

Snape pushed open the door and saw Kreacher sitting on a stool beside the bed with his feet dangling, looking worriedly at the unconscious Regulus on the bed.

He moved aside to allow Sirius to enter.

Sirius was tense, thinking there was some danger inside, but then he saw someone lying on the bed.

Regulus lay quietly on the hospital bed, his face as pale as paper, as if he had lost all vitality, his black hair was scattered on the pillow in a messy manner, his eyes were closed, and only his weak breathing proved that he was alive.

Sirius shuddered, walked towards the bed, and raised his hand to feel his breath.

Feeling his weak breath, Sirius breathed a sigh of relief.

He turned to Snape and asked, "Who hurt him like this?"

"No one hurt him."

Snape walked to Regulus, took out a bottle of potion, pinched his mouth, and poured the potion into his mouth.

"What did you feed him?"

Sirius watched his movements warily.

"It's his antidote."

Snape looked at Sirius expressionlessly and said slowly, "Regulus discovered Voldemort's secret. He asked Kreacher to take him to find Voldemort's Horcrux, where he drank a large amount of poison and was dragged into the lake by a group of Inferi and nearly drowned.

This is the suicide note he prepared for himself. "

Snape opened the drawer next to him and threw a small note into Sirius' arms.

Sirius's head was buzzing.

It felt like Snape was telling a joke?

Regulus was so rigid, just like the rest of the Black family, how could he possibly resist Voldemort?

He looked down at the note and slowly opened it:

'To the Dark Lord:

When you read this letter, I will be dead, but I want you to know: I discovered your secret, I have taken the real Horcrux and destroyed it as soon as possible.

I am willing to risk my life, just to be a mortal of flesh and blood when I meet your destined opponent.

RAB '

Regulus Arcturus Black

Just looking at the words, Sirius felt suffocated.

His brother was not a mercenary Death Eater, but was braver than he thought, and even paid with his life for it.

Sirius's face turned red when he thought about the quarrel he had with Regulus and how he had cursed him so much.

Looking at his brother lying on the bed, his life or death uncertain, Sirius' voice trembled a little, "He never told me this."

Snape looked at him impatiently with regret, and said coldly: "Aren't you brothers? Wouldn't you ask him about this kind of thing? Do you quarrel every time you meet? Don't you have anything else to say?"

These words directly and accurately hit Sirius's pain point.

He never really listened to Regulus.
