Chapter 115 The Little Scholar Always Cries (39)
It was already evening when Sang Tian learned that Mo Chen was stabbed by Tan Ling'er.
I was planning to take action later, but Tan Ling'er got there first.
Tan Linger disappeared after escaping from the palace. She took nothing with her when she fled, and Sang Tian was not in a hurry to catch her back.
When Sang Tian rushed to Qinglong Palace, Mo Chen was lying on the dragon bed with a pale face and lifeless eyes. If it weren't for the beating heart, Sang Tian would have thought he was dead.
Hearing the footsteps, Mo Chen slowly turned his head to look at her. When he saw that the person coming was Sang Tian, his eyes burst into joy. He opened his mouth but couldn't speak. He could only weakly raise his hand and point his finger at his wrapped neck.
Sang Tian immediately realized that he had become mute.
Sang Tian suppressed her smile and walked over to sit on the edge of the bed. When Mo Chen's hand reached out for her sleeve, Sang Tian dodged sideways and Mo Chen's hand missed.
"Your Majesty, what happened to you? Have you become mute?"
When Sang Tian spoke, her voice was as soft as a pool of spring water, but to Mo Chen's ears it was like an icicle on a cold day, piercing his heart and making him bleed.
Sang Tian lifted her long sleeves to reveal half of her white and tender arm, and gently stroked the injured part of Shang Mo Chen with her jade hand, "It must have been very painful at that time."
This is her new dress and she can't let it get stained with blood.
Before Mo Chen could do anything, Sang Tian suddenly pressed hard on the injured part of his body with her fingers. Blood instantly flowed out again, staining his clothes red. Mo Chen opened his mouth and made an unpleasant and harsh sound.
Sang Tian leaned over to Mo Chen's ear and spoke slowly, "The person you were entangled with before was not me. You wanted to kill Duan Yunyi in secret without asking for my consent."
Mo Chen's eyes were wide open with hatred in them. If that look was from Dao Sangtian, he would have died countless times.
Sang Tian continued to provoke: "You will become a mute and die in this deep palace for the rest of your life."
After saying that, Sang Tian smiled gently at Mo Chen, turned around and left. Her departing back gradually overlapped with the back she saw on the day of her wedding.
Mo Chen struggled to sit up, stretched out his hand towards Sang Tian's back but finally let it fall down weakly.
As soon as Sang Tian came out of Qinglong Palace, she saw Duan Yunyi standing on the road. He was holding a folding fan, with his black hair casually tied behind his back. The expression on his handsome face became more and more sinister, as if some wild beast was about to rush out.
Sang Tian felt like she was being targeted by a hunter, and she subconsciously took a step back.
By the time she reacted, Duan Yunyi had already strode towards her, grabbed her wrist and pulled her in front of him.
"Sang Tian, he's now mute and worthless, so I'm more valuable than him now. Would you like to consider me?"
Sang Tian was confused by Duan Yunyi's words, her eyes full of confusion.
Seeing Sang Tian remained silent, Duan Yunyi continued: "Follow me and you will be the most noble woman in the world. Answer me!"
Sang Tian's wrist was pinched so hard that it hurt, but as long as she moved, Duan Yunyi's strength would increase a little bit, so she simply stopped moving.
She raised her eyes and looked at Duan Yunyi, "Do you mind that I betrayed you before?"
Duan Yunyi replied expressionlessly, "I forgive you, but if it happens a second time, I will have to take you with me to death, so that you will never have the chance to betray me again."
Any normal person would feel scared after hearing what Duan Yunyi said, but Sang Tian only felt happy. She hugged Duan Yunyi's waist and looked at him with her little face raised.
"Duan Yunyi, nothing happened between me and Mo Chen. I left because he threatened you and your mother's lives."
Sang Tian's explanation was like a ray of warm spring sunshine that completely melted the ice that had been in Duan Yunyi's heart for many years. He held her in his arms as if he had regained her.
This was the first time in a long time that he truly felt that he had her completely.
