Chapter 83 The Little Scholar Always Cries (7)
Duan Yunyi is a teacher at a private school in town and cannot be with Sang Tian all the time, so he has to go to town to teach at dawn every day.
Duan Yunyi would not be late on normal days, but today was different because she was by his side.
When going to teach, Duan Yunyi stood at the intersection for a long time and was reluctant to leave. His eyes were full of reluctance to leave Sang Tian. He couldn't take her with him because he didn't want others to gossip about her.
Sang Tian, who changed into a woman's bun, looked more gentle and virtuous. She stood on tiptoe and gave Duan Yunyi a gentle kiss on the lips, saying to him in comfort, "Go quickly. I'll wait for you at home."
As soon as the carriage to pick up Duan Yunyi arrived, Sang Tian pushed him over. When the coachman saw Duan Yunyi, he bowed respectfully and asked, "When will Mr. Duan leave?"
Duan Yunyi glanced at me and replied, "Wait a moment, I want to talk to my wife."
The groom's eyes moved to Sang Tian and nodded slightly, "Sir and Madam, please chat first."
The coachman sat on the carriage with his back to the two of them, whip in hand. Duan Yunyi put his arm around Sang Tian's slender waist and pulled her into his arms.
"I'll be back soon, ma'am."
Duan Yunyi was extremely gentle when he spoke, and the tenderness between his eyebrows was like the spring breeze in March caressing the cheek, more intoxicating than wine. When Sang Tian was in a daze, Duan Yunyi raised his hand and gently removed the dead leaves that fell in her hair.
Sang Tian came to her senses and was afraid of making the coachman wait for too long, so she pulled Duan Yunyi over. Hearing the footsteps, the coachman turned around, dismounted, took the stool and put it down.
Duan Yunyi patted Sang Tian's head gently and said, "Let's go."
Sang Tian nodded, and Duan Yunyi touched Sang Tian's face reluctantly before turning around and getting on the carriage.
When Sang Tian returned, she found many soldiers in armor standing at the gate of the courtyard. They stood there with serious faces, and Duan's mother stood among them, at a loss.
Sang Tian strode over and held Duan's mother in her arms.
A black wooden carriage was parked in front of them, giving people an invisible sense of oppression.
Sang Tian naturally recognized this car, after all, the original owner used to ride it almost every day.
Mother Duan's eyes were filled with fear. Sang Tian held her hand and whispered to comfort her, "Don't be afraid, mother. I'm here."
The two rows of soldiers who were originally standing there made way for them, and a man in dark red robes stepped down from the carriage, followed by a woman in a goose yellow skirt.
The people who came were the heroine Tan Linger and Mo Chen.
When Duan's mother saw that it was Tan Ling'er, the fear on her face turned into surprise. Tan Ling'er jumped over like a lark and hugged Duan's mother's arm, saying sweetly, "Auntie, I'm here to see you. Where's Brother Duan?"
Mother Duan pinched Tan Linger's cheek and said lovingly, "Yun Yi has gone to class and will be back at noon."
Sang Tian stood aside and was completely ignored. As expected of the heroine, she made Duan's mother laugh out loud with just a few words.
Tan Ling'er's appearance cannot be said to be beautiful but she has a good personality. The smile on her face can easily infect everyone. Mo Chen loves her so much because Tan Ling'er is a light in his life.
Mo Chen, who had been ignored, frowned unhappily. From the moment he got off the carriage until now, Sang Tian's eyes had never stayed on him for a moment, and her gaze was always on Duan's mother and Ling'er.
With revenge in mind, Mo Chen stepped forward and stood beside Tan Ling'er, pointing at Sang Tian and introducing her, "This is your brother Duan's wife, Sang Tian, and also the daughter of Prime Minister Sang of Mo State."
When Mo Chen said this, there was a triumphant smile on his face, and Sang Tian really wanted to punch him twice.
Only then did Tan Linger notice the flash of surprise in Sang Tian's eyes.
Mo Chen promised her to come and meet Brother Duan, but he had already gotten married after only two years of not seeing him. Tan Ling'er's disappointment was all revealed on her face.
Seeing his beloved sad, a trace of regret appeared on Mo Chen's face. He shouldn't have said this matter so quickly just to anger Sang Tian. His original plan was to let her discover this matter herself.
