Chapter 79 Because You Have a Good Relationship
"It was Albus who invited me to the ball. I haven't been to a ball in a long time since my lover died."
Professor McGonagall looked at the crowd of students, a trace of loss flashing in her emerald eyes.
"Then I'm so lucky." Jiang Li looked at Professor McGonagall and said excitedly, "It seems that I can take over all your dances after the first one. Others don't have this honor."
Hearing this, Professor McGonagall's sadness disappeared, and she looked at Jiang Li with a smile and said, "My physical strength is not that good."
"It's okay, I will be a gentleman and secretly use the levitation spell for you." Jiang Li winked at her cunningly.
Professor McGonagall was amused by her.
Just at this moment, Lily came over. She was wearing a pink dress and looked a little guilty when she looked at Jiang Li.
"Ali, I can't dance with you at the party tonight." Lily said through gritting her teeth.
"Why?" Jiang Li asked puzzledly.
"I... that... James knelt down and begged me, asking me to be his dance partner, or he would be cursed and die."
When Lily said this, she was too guilty to look Jiang Li in the eye, and said with a stiff upper lip: "But don't worry, I found a new dance partner for you, he is..."
"Professor Malfoy has no dance partner. Could you please consider me?"
A timid female voice sounded, interrupting what Lily was about to say.
She looked towards the source of the sound.
Elena was wearing a light blue dress. She looked at Jiang Li nervously and said, "I don't have a dance partner either. Can you dance with me?"
"Of course." Jiang Li responded with a smile.
Hearing this, Elena looked at Jiang Li with surprise, as if fireworks were exploding around her.
"what……"
Lily was confused, this was not what she had imagined.
How come someone cut in?
She wanted Snape to dance with Jiang Li, and she had already asked Snape to come out. After breaking the contract, she planned to let Snape replace him immediately. How could there be another girl coming out?
Lily quickly turned to look at Snape and found that Snape had heard the conversation here and walked straight out of the hall.
Unexpectedly, things backfired. Lily was very embarrassed and quickly chased in the direction of Snape.
"Lily, the dance is about to start. Hold my hand tightly and don't get lost."
James, wearing a tan tuxedo, appeared in front of Lily and took her hand.
Her view was blocked by James, and when Lily looked again, Snape had disappeared without a trace.
She was pulled to the center of the dance floor by James and had no chance to chase out to explain.
The melodious sounds of a dance could still be heard from the hall. Snape walked slowly along the corridor and sat down on a bench outside.
The lights were on inside, but it was dark outside. Looking up, I saw that thick clouds blocked the moonlight, and even the small flowers in the bushes had closed.
Slow footsteps were heard and Snape looked up quickly.
Nott came out in a white suit and tuxedo. The slim and straight suit made him look more elegant and handsome.
Snape's eyes darkened. He didn't know what he was expecting. When he saw that the person coming was Nott, he felt inexplicably irritated.
Nott didn't expect there were people here, so he walked over and asked Snape, "Can I sit here?"
Snape didn't answer, but made room for him.
"Thank you."
Nott smiled gently at him, sat down next to him, leaned his hands on the back of the bench, looked up at the starry sky, and asked Snape: "Don't you have a dance partner either?"
"No." Snape said calmly.
Hearing this, Nott looked at him in surprise and said, "I remember that you have good grades. If you invite the girls in the academy to be your dance partner, they shouldn't refuse you."
Snape raised his eyelids, looked at him and asked, "Then why don't you have a dance partner? Aren't you very popular in the academy?"
Nott said somewhat melancholy: "I wanted to invite Professor Malfoy to be my dance partner, but unfortunately I was a step too late. She already has a new dance partner."
After failing to strike up a conversation several times in a row, he felt a little frustrated. Perhaps it was the scenery that made him unable to resist pouring out his inner thoughts to Snape.
"I like Professor Malfoy very much. She is different from others. She is really charming and as warm as the sun. Every time I see her, I feel inexplicably happy.
She is always radiant and I can spot her in the crowd at a glance. Every time I see her smile, my heart beats faster and I dare not speak too loudly to her.
It's a pity that she doesn't like minors. Maybe I can confess to her after graduation and she will accept me. I really hope she doesn't find someone she likes so quickly."
Hearing the boy's thoughts, Snape had a blank expression on his face and was extremely cold in his heart.
Is this guy's head full of Stipa?
Why tell him these things, does he look like the kind of close friend?
"By the way, you have a good relationship with Professor Malfoy, right?" Nott looked at Snape and said with a smile, "Can you praise me more in front of Professor Malfoy and leave a good impression on her?"
Snape said in a cold voice: "Why should I help you."
When did their relationship become good enough for them to speak for each other?
"I was just joking, why are you so serious?"
Nott smiled heartily and said frankly: "Because you have a good relationship with Professor Malfoy, I thought that if I acted pitiful in front of you, you would sympathize with me and speak for me in front of Professor Malfoy. I didn't expect you to be unmoved. You are so cold~"
The other party had revealed his little thoughts, so Snape couldn't make any sarcastic remarks.
"If you like it, go and fight for it yourself. Don't use these useless tricks." Snape said coldly.
"You're right." Nott smiled at Snape, "Maybe I can go and ask Professor Malfoy to dance with me now."
He stood up, smoothed out the wrinkles on his clothes, and looked down at Snape who was sitting on the bench.
"Thank you for your enlightenment. If Professor Malfoy agrees to dance with me, I will give you a gift."
Hearing this, Snape felt extremely bad.
He watched Nott regain his confidence and stride towards the auditorium, his hands clenched tightly on his knees.
As Nott entered, a young couple sneaked out holding hands and kissed behind the bushes near Snape.
Snape: "..."
Enough is enough. When will this stupid party end?
Looking at the two students kissing, Snape said indifferently: "Deduct 10 points from Gryffindor and 10 points from Hufflepuff!"
If he were a professor now, he would pick out all these students and deduct points from them.
Suddenly, a light laugh came from behind.
Snape turned his head and saw Jiang Li, who was supposed to be at the dance, appeared beside him at some point. He put his elbows on the back of the bench and tilted his head to look at the kissing couple.
"The lighting here is so dim and they are not wearing robes. How do you know they are Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students?" Jiang Li looked at Snape curiously.
