Chapter 49 Points Deduction
"You are so reliable." Jiang Li said with emotion.
Snape rolled his eyes at her, his whole body exuding impatience.
Jiang Li smiled gently, looked at him and asked, "Have you eaten?"
"I ate it," Snape replied.
"Oh, you haven't eaten yet. Let's eat together."
Jiang Li stood up, brushed off the dust on her skirt, hooked her arm around Snape's neck and said, "I'm too weak, let me lean on you for a while."
"Did the damn venom enter your brain? Your hands were poisoned, not your feet. How come you can't walk?"
Snape said something venomous but did not push Jiang Li away. Instead, he tilted his shoulder towards her so that she could lean more comfortably.
Jiang Li noticed this action and said with a smile: "It's great to have you around."
Hearing this, Snape turned his face away.
What nonsense is this guy talking about? Is his brain poisoned?
Because it was too late, the two did not go to the cafeteria, but asked Mia to deliver dinner to the room.
Jiang Li had been dealing with the eight-eyed giant spider the whole night, so he fell asleep right after dinner and washing up.
Snape did not return to the Slytherin dormitory. Instead, he dealt with the eight-eyed giant spiders that Jiang Li brought back and put them away in different categories.
By the time he finished all this, it was already late at night and there should be a teacher patrolling outside.
He used a Disillusionment Charm to hide his presence and walked towards the Slytherin common room.
"Oh! James, you stepped on my foot."
"Sorry sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
Snape heard the sound and looked towards a certain place in the corridor. The armor there moved due to being knocked, and he instantly knew who was there.
He cast a hurricane spell in that direction.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew up and the invisibility cloak was blown away.
James and Sirius were both shocked and quickly went to pick up the invisibility cloak.
"Clang~"
As soon as they turned around, the armor behind them fell to the ground with a loud noise.
"James, Sirius, what are you two doing?"
The one on night watch today is Professor McGonagall.
I rushed over immediately after hearing the noise, and just in time saw James and Sirius picking up the invisibility cloak.
The two men looked as if their fate was being pinched by the scruff of the neck, their expressions stiff.
Professor McGonagall stared at the two people and said seriously, "If nothing unexpected happens, you two should be sleeping in the dormitory instead of wandering in the corridor at night."
James pushed his glasses and said flatteringly, "Professor McGonagall, we are doing this for a reason. Sirius is not feeling well and I want to take him to the infirmary."
He said and gave Sirius a look.
Sirius immediately covered his heart and said to Professor McGonagall, "I feel a little uncomfortable. James did this to help me."
Professor McGonagall frowned at the two men and said, "You two better be in trouble. Follow me and I will take you to the infirmary."
Hearing this, James's expression froze, and he quickly said, "No need, I can take Sirius with me."
Sirius also said immediately: "Actually, I think I'm much better now, so I don't even need to go to the infirmary.
By the way, Professor, I feel like there must be another student sneaking out at night nearby, and he cast a spell on us!"
Otherwise, where did the wind in the corridor come from that blew away their invisibility cloaks? Someone must have discovered them and was deliberately playing a prank on them.
Maybe it was that damn Slytherin!
Professor McGonagall stared at the two people seriously and said, "I will go and see if there are other people wandering around at night. As for the two of you, 10 points will be deducted from each of you. Go to the exhibition room after class this week and clean up the place. No magic is allowed. I will check it."
The two of them felt like the sky was falling.
"Professor McGonagall..."
"I don't want to say the same thing again. You two can either go back and rest now, or go to the trophy display room and clean the silverware."
Professor McGonagall looked at the two dishonest students seriously.
James and Sirius fell silent for a moment.
The two secretly picked up the invisibility cloak and ran back to the dormitory in shame.
Snape stood aside, watching the two being punished, with a smile on his face.
Professor McGonagall looked towards the Slytherin entrance and threw a revealing spell nearby, but no students appeared.
Could it be that she made a mistake?
Professor McGonagall wondered.
Snape stood near her, quietly waiting for her to leave before shouting the slogan at the Slytherin statue.
"Pureblood."
"The password is correct."
The statue moved away and Snape walked in.
The lights in the corridor were dim, and outside the glass window, the Black Lake Mermaid was swimming by, and every footstep was particularly clear.
Snape was slightly stunned when he saw that there was someone sitting on the sofa in the common room.
Andromeda didn't expect that there were still people who hadn't rested at this time. She wiped her eyes hurriedly and looked at Snape with a calm and composed look.
"Did you go for a night stroll? Were you discovered by Professor McGonagall?" she asked.
Snape glanced at her and said calmly, "No."
After saying that, he turned and walked towards the boys' dormitory.
"Don't tell anyone else what just happened." Andromeda said to his back.
Black people don't need tears.
Snape stopped walking, without looking back, looking at the Slytherin flag on the wall, and said slowly: "I don't have a hobby of gossiping. I am not interested in your affairs."
"Thank you." Andromeda said softly.
Snape didn't answer her and went straight into the dormitory.
Andromeda calmed down and returned to the girls' dormitory.
When the Gryffindor students woke up the next day, they found that the score counter of their house had dropped again.
"Damn it, who caused our school to lose points?"
The senior students gnashed their teeth.
The school has just started and their house has lost so many points, even less than Hufflepuff. How can they compete for the house cup?
James and Sirius acted as if nothing had happened, as if this matter had nothing to do with them.
Lily glanced at the two of them, and felt that the points deducted last night had something to do with these two people.
Lily caught a glimpse of Jiang Li appearing in the cafeteria, and her eyes lit up instantly, and she walked towards Jiang Li.
"Professor Malfoy!"
She shouted towards Jiang Li.
Jiang Li saw that it was her and smiled gently.
"Why are you calling me so strangely? Don't call me by my name anymore."
"Ali."
Lily called out shyly. She was afraid that calling Jiang Li's name in school would affect Jiang Li's dignity as a professor.
"Do you know where Sev is? I haven't been able to find him lately." Lily asked.
Except for the time when Snape could be seen in class, he seemed to have disappeared at other times.
"He should be making potions in the potion room." Jiang Li replied.
"But I went to the Potions room yesterday and didn't see Sev." Lily said, counting her fingers.
She felt that the students in Slytherin were not very friendly, and they looked at people with a smug look that looked down on them. She also heard that there were many dark wizards in Slytherin.
Lily didn't want Snape to become like them, she cherished Snape as a friend.
