Chapter 42 Quarrel

Hearing the noisy voice, Snape immediately closed the book and stood up.

Lily was still a little confused.

There were already two black-haired boys standing at the door.

James had a messy black hair. He wiped his dirty glasses with his robe. When he put on the glasses and saw the people in the carriage clearly, his eyes immediately widened in anger.

"It's you!!"

Snape glanced at him coldly and sat back in his seat.

"James, what's wrong?"

A boy with black curly hair and outstanding appearance came over and asked.

James didn't reply to him, but walked up to Snape and said angrily, "It's all your fault! I've been blocked by the people at Bee Duke Candy House, and they don't allow me to enter the store!"

"He's the annoying guy you mentioned." Sirius asked.

"Yes."

James stared at Snape, and when he saw that he didn't even lift his eyelids to look at him, he suddenly felt ignored.

He drew his wand, pointed it at Snape, and cast a spell.

"The big head turns into a melon..."

"Except your weapons!"

Before James finished the last word, Snape immediately drew out his wand and knocked the man away.

No one knew where the mahogany wand had flown to. James flew out into the corridor, holding his chest and trying to get up and go home.

Snape cast a spell at James's messy black hair.

"Rapid hair loss."

James Potter only felt a chill on his scalp, and in an instant, all his dark hair fell out, leaving his shiny scalp reflecting light.

Seeing that annoying hair finally disappear, Snape curled the corners of his lips.

"Aaaaah! Merlin's fat pants, I'm going to kill you!"

James Potter had never suffered such an injustice, so he took out a stinky ball from his pocket and wanted to throw it at Snape.

"Quickly bind it."

Snape acted quickly and tied the man up.

Sirius saw that James was at a disadvantage, and immediately drew his wand to cast a curse on Snape.

"Spit slugs!"

"I! Won't! Allow! You! To! Hurt! My! Friends!!!"

A huge suitcase was thrown at Sirius' face, and Lily held the suitcase with a fierce expression on her face.

Sirius was hit so hard that he felt dizzy and passed out.

Bald James stared at Lily in amazement.

Lily put her hands on her hips, raised her chin, and solemnly swore: "No one can hurt my friends in front of me."

Snape was also a little surprised.

He looked at Lily and asked, "Where did you learn this trick?"

Lily said proudly, "Ali taught me this. She said that first-year wizards can't cast spells well. If you don't like someone, you should beat them up while they are casting a spell and they will behave themselves."

Snape: "..."

As expected, he knew that all the unreliable behaviors were related to Jiang Li!

The commotion here soon attracted the attention of others. The male head of Gryffindor came over immediately and saw Sirius and James lying on the ground with a serious expression.

"What are you doing? Do you want to deduct points from your own college without even getting admitted?"

Lily stood up bravely and defended herself loudly.

"Mr. Prefect, this is not our fault. They were the ones who pulled out their wands and attacked my friends first. We were just fighting back."

Sirius covered his face and climbed up, and said to the male prefect of Gryffindor, "We didn't do anything, and they started attacking us. My face is swollen. I demand that they be punished."

James also twisted like a maggot, and struggled to get up. He pointed at Snape and said loudly: "Senior, I can guarantee that this guy must be an evil Slytherin!"

The Gryffindor male prefect looked unhappy when faced with a few mischievous students and didn't know how to deal with them.

"No matter who is right or wrong, it is extremely bad behavior for you to attack others on the train. I will tell Professor McGonagall about this matter and she will deal with your behavior."

Snape looked at the Gryffindor prefect and said slowly, "It is normal for students to quarrel with each other, but it changes its nature when someone casts a curse first. I suggest that we ask the professor to check our wands later so that we can know what spells we have used.

I just saw him using a curse on me, so I used a Disarming Charm to counterattack. If you don't believe me, you can check my wand."

Snape handed over his wand.

James immediately retorted loudly: "That doesn't count, my spell didn't work at all..."

Before he could finish, Sirius immediately stepped forward and covered his mouth.

Snape gave a sarcastic smile.

"Look, he has already admitted that he used the curse."

James then realized that he had just said something stupid.

"I can explain that he deliberately provoked me, so I couldn't help but attack him." James defended.

Lily immediately retorted loudly: "He is lying. Sev didn't even say anything and he started attacking us."

James wanted to say something, but Sirius tugged at his clothes, signaling him not to speak.

"Okay, I'll tell the professor about this."

The Gryffindor male prefect pointed at James and Sirius with a serious expression and said, "You two, follow me!"

He looked at James' bald head, waved his wand and cast a spell.

"Grow quickly."

James Potter's messy black hair had grown back.

The other young wizards also leaned over to check the situation, and when they saw James and Sirius being taken away, they all retreated back into the carriage.

James made a face at Snape and mouthed a silent response.

"Disgusting slug!"

Lily stood in front of Snape and glared back at James Potter.

James was slightly stunned and turned his head away awkwardly.

Sirius, who was standing next to him, heard him muttering quietly.

"You are so pretty, why are you staying with a slug?"

Snape simply closed the door of the carriage, blocking out the inquiring gazes of others.

Lily said indignantly: "These two people are so annoying. I absolutely do not want to be assigned to the same college with them."

Snape remembered the result of the sorting in his previous life, looked at Lily and said, "If I was sorted into Slytherin and you were sorted into Gryffindor, would you be angry because I made friends with Slytherins?"

"Sev, why do you think so? You are my best friend. We will definitely go to the same college." Lily said firmly.

Snape tightened his grip on the book and said nothing more.

Everything was different now, and he shouldn't be living in the past.

It was already dark when the train arrived at Hogwarts.

The half-giant Hagrid held a tattered lantern and shouted at the freshmen.

"First-year students, come to my side, follow me, don't run around."

Lily was extremely nervous and walked to Snape's side.

The freshmen followed Hagrid down a narrow, steep path that was pitch dark.

"Fluorescence."

Snape held the wand and chanted the word "effect", and the surroundings lit up.

Lily then remembered that she also knew this spell, and immediately waved her wand and recited it.

Seeing this, other young wizards who had learned spells also followed suit and lit their wands, and stars suddenly flashed in the darkness.

"You'll be able to see Hogwarts castle soon," Hagrid said loudly.

At the end of the road, the long and narrow path suddenly opens up, and what comes into view is a huge black lake. The Hogwarts Castle is located between two steep mountains.

"One boat can only hold four people, so come here and line up to get on board."

Hagrid called the stunned little wizards to get on board.

Snape and Lily boarded the nearest boat, followed by two more girls, and Lily immediately started chatting with them.

Snape had no intention of getting involved in the girls' discussion and leaned against the hull with his eyes closed and dozed off.

"By the way, do you know how the Hogwarts schools are divided into houses? My father said that you have to dive into the Black Lake and get the treasure from the mermaid to know which house you will be assigned to."

"No, my father said that the sorting process was to fight a dragon, and he was able to enter Hogwarts to study only after he defeated the dragon."

"A dragon? Isn't that a legendary creature? Does Hogwarts have one too?"

"Of course there is. I heard that the tall guy is the dragon keeper in the school."

"What if I can't defeat the dragon?"

Lily looked serious after hearing this. She had no way to defeat the dragon now and didn't know if she could team up with Sif.

Snape didn't listen to them carefully, and fiddled with the silver snake necklace on his hand with his fingers.

After being attacked by a werewolf, Jiang Li took the necklace back and modified it. The final product became a bracelet. Not only can it resist evil curses many times, it also has the function of storing things, so he doesn't even need to bring luggage when going out.
