Chapter 16 1 forget everything

There was a smell of sewers near Spider's Tail Alley. In this dirty alley, even drunkards didn't dare to fall asleep, for fear that there would be nothing left when they woke up the next day.

When Martha went out to dump the sewage, she was frightened when she saw a dark figure standing nearby.

After seeing the strange baby son of the drunkard next door, he closed the door cursing.

"You're silent like a fool. Who are you trying to scare to death?"

Snape stood at the door for a long time. There was no light in the room, but he knew Irene was at home.

Suddenly, light snow fell from the sky and landed on Snape's cheeks. The coolness on his face brought him back to his senses, and he knocked on the door.

There were hurried footsteps from inside and the door was quickly opened.

Snape hadn't seen Irene for many years, and his memory of his appearance was very vague.

Irene's tired face appeared in front of him, and as if a switch was turned on, past memories came flooding back.

When she saw Snape, Irene's face was full of surprise and she quickly pulled him into the house.

"Sif, where have you been? I haven't seen you for the past two days. Tobias went to look for you. Have you seen him? He hasn't come back all day."

Snape let her pull him and looked at her carefully. His vague memories gradually became clear and vivid.

Just like the Irene in her memory, the Irene in front of her only has her damn love.

"Eileen."

A childish voice slowly called her name.

Irene looked at Snape with some confusion, and saw that he was looking at her with empty eyes without any emotion.

"Tobias wants to sell me out. Do you agree?"

Snape stared at Irene and saw a panicked expression on her face.

"Where did you hear that? How could I possibly sell you out?"

Irene raised her voice, with an undisguised look of guilt in her eyes.

"The day before yesterday, I came home and heard your conversation with Tobias. You agreed with what Tobias said, right?"

Snape's voice slowly tore off the last of Irene's disguise.

"Severus, things are not what you think." Irene couldn't stand Snape's cold eyes, and defended herself with a pitiful face, "I want you to live a better life, so I sent you away. It's not that I don't want you. It's too hard for you to live with us."

During this period, Irene has been regretting and wants to find her child, but Snape and Tobias have not returned, and she doesn't know where to find them.

She had a bad feeling in her heart, but Irene didn't dare to think about it, for she was afraid it would become a reality.

No matter in the past or now, she always likes to face life by escaping.

"I left home after hearing what you said that day, but when I came back, I met Tobias. He captured me and sold me. The buyer he mentioned was not a noble at all. They were a group of bad people. They captured little wizards from the Muggle world and used them as sacrifices. They killed many little wizards." Snape said slowly, looking into Irene's eyes.

"Are you OK."

Irene immediately worriedly went forward to check on Snape's condition, and said with guilt in her eyes: "I didn't know they were this kind of people. I thought they were just ordinary Muggles. If I knew they would do such a thing, I would never agree with Tobias."

She choked up as she spoke and looked at Snape with heartache.

"You really don't know about this?"

Snape was not moved by her tears and said sarcastically, "Is this the first day you met Tobias? Don't you know that he is unreliable? In fact, you also know that Tobias is not trustworthy.

You knew what was going to happen, but you chose to play dumb and pretend that nothing happened, just to make yourself feel better, right? "

"No! I never thought so."

Irene denied it passionately, grabbing Snape's arm tightly to explain, not noticing that her nails were digging into Snape's flesh.

"Sif, you are my child. You are as important as Tobias. I will never give up on you. I just want you not to suffer with me."

"Erin, actually, after I was captured, I was killed. My soul has disappeared, and Tobias was also killed by them."

Snape looked at Irene who was almost collapsed and told her a more cruel truth.

Irene's mind went blank for a moment.

"Impossible, how could Tobias die? You must be lying to me!!"

She refused to believe this fact.

"I'm not lying. His body is in the abandoned tavern at No. 36 in the next alley. The wizard who made the deal didn't want to pay, so he just killed him."

Snape looked at Irene, whose face was filled with despair, and spoke slowly.

"Shut up! Tobias will never die!"

Irene looked at Snape with hatred, hating him for telling her the truth.

Without Tobias, how would she survive in this world? She knew nothing.

"You are not my child, you are a devil, yes! You are a devil, I will kill you!"

Irene was unwilling to believe what he said and planned to take the wand to kill Snape.

Looking at the almost crazy Irene, Snape felt a little complicated. He took out the wand he stole from Jiang Li and chanted a spell towards Irene's forehead.

"Everything is forgotten."

A soft white light shot out from the wand and hit Irene, whose face was full of pain.

The Forgetfulness Spell can not only make people forget what happened, but also modify their memory.

Snape knew that if he didn't modify Irene's memory, she would not be able to accept the news of Tobias' death and would die quietly one day.

I dare to die, but I don’t dare to live well alone.

He modified Irene's memory to say that Irene had an accident more than ten years ago and lost her memory. She bravely lived alone in the Muggle world for more than ten years. Today, she fell and hit her head, and recovered her previous memory. She planned to return to the wizarding world.

The memory modification was not successful because Snape forgot that he was still an underage wizard and the magic power in his body was not enough to cast such an advanced spell.

Finally, when he was halfway through releasing his magic, Snape was completely drained of his magic power and collapsed to the ground powerlessly, unable to move even a finger.

Irene, who was under the Forgetfulness Curse, was about to wake up, and Snape looked a little pale.

"I wasn't paying attention for a moment. How did you make yourself so embarrassed?"

A helpless female voice sounded, and Snape saw Jiang Li, with messy hair, appear beside him.

Jiang Li saw him lying on the ground without any ability to resist, so he squatted beside him and poked his cheek with his index finger.

If Mia hadn't come to find her just now, she wouldn't have known that Snape had taken her wand and left.

Snape glared at her, signaling her not to go too far.

Jiang Li smiled, held his chin up and looked at him and said, "Are you here to use the Forgetfulness Spell to modify your mother's memory? Do you need me to lend you my magic power?"

"No need." Snape refused subconsciously.

"You are really not frank at all."

Jiang Li held Snape's hand with emotion, allowing him to mobilize the part of magic that belonged to him.

"Since we're already halfway through the revision, let's finish it."

The girl's sweet voice rang out, and Snape found that his body seemed to be filled with magic again.

He gave Jiang Li a complicated look and picked up the magic wand to modify Irene's memory.

The moment he finished, Snape fell backwards exhausted and a pair of hands supported him.

"You're so stubborn. You didn't even call for help when you were exhausted."

While Jiang Li was complaining, he held Snape's armpits, let him lean his head on his shoulders, and picked him up with one hand supporting his butt.

"You feel so light, like you don't weigh anything at all. You should eat more. You just ran out without eating, like a little kid."

Snape's body touched a soft spot and his face turned red instantly.

He gritted his teeth and said, "Ms. Malfoy, if your brain is not filled with sphinx grass, then you should know that my body is filled with the soul of an adult man!"

Jiang Li lied in all seriousness: "I have lived for more than 300 years. I can be your great-grandmother. You are just a little kid to me. Don't think too much."

As she spoke, she patted Snape's butt like an adult, and when she heard his teeth grinding, the smile in her eyes widened.

It's quite fun to tease the old professor.
