Chapter 15 Do me a favor and take her away
The noisy sound was getting closer and closer. Su Nian clenched her fists nervously, her heart beating like a drum. Her body was trembling slightly, her eyes were full of fear and anxiety, and her feet seemed to be nailed to the spot, unable to move at all. A group of agile people appeared in front of everyone, led by a burly man with sharp eyes. His face was firm and showed traces of weathering.
When Levin saw them, a relieved smile appeared on his face. He tried to stand up straight, waved his hand and shouted, "Moir, you are finally here!"
The man called More strode to Levin's side, his eyes full of concern. He supported Levin's shaky body and said in a low and magnetic voice with deep concern: "Brother, how are you?"
Levin smiled bitterly and shook his head, his lips were cracked and his voice was weak: "Not very good, but I won't die yet."
The people behind Moore also gathered around, all of them with serious expressions, exuding the air of a veteran. Some crossed their arms and frowned; some kept stamping their feet and looked around vigilantly.
Su Nian stood beside Levin, biting her lower lip with her teeth, her hands unconsciously tugging at the corners of her clothes, and blinking her eyes constantly, trying to hide her extreme nervousness. Her breathing was rapid and disordered, and her chest rose and fell violently with her breathing.
Moore glanced at the surroundings, frowned and said, "We can't stay in this damn place for a moment, Levin, we have to leave quickly." As he said that, he waved his hand, signaling everyone to get ready to go.
Levin nodded slightly, then looked at Moore and said, "Moer, this is Su Nian, please do me a favor and take her with you."
Moore looked at Su Nian, with a hint of surprise in his eyes, but he still responded readily: "Okay, no problem."
Su Nian's heart was filled with relief and gratitude for surviving the disaster. Her eyes were red and she said with a trembling voice: "Thank you, thank you so much. If it weren't for you, I would never get out of this hellhole on my own. I couldn't earn enough to pay for the fare." As she spoke, she bowed deeply.
Hearing Su Nian's voice, Moore realized that the tightly wrapped person in front of him was actually a woman. He couldn't help but look at her a few more times, secretly guessing in his heart: Could it be that Levin and this woman are in a relationship? However, he just thought about it in his heart and didn't express it.
Su Nian felt Mor's gaze and subconsciously wrapped her worn-out clothes tightly around her body. She felt a little uneasy, but more excited about leaving this chaotic place. She said sincerely again, "Thank you so much. I will definitely remember this kindness in my heart."
Everyone sat together and took a short break. Su Nian couldn't help but ask curiously, "Levin, Brother Moore, how did you know each other?" As she spoke, she kicked the stones on the ground anxiously.
Moore smiled and said, "Sister, Levin used to be a brave soldier. He was so powerful on the battlefield." As he spoke, he gestured the action of swinging a knife and killing.
Levin's eyes became distant, as if he was lost in memories. He slowly said, "Once, I fought with passion to protect peace. But later, due to an accident, I lost everything and became a wandering alien." His voice was full of helplessness and vicissitudes, and his hands hung weakly on both sides of his body.
Su Nian listened attentively, admiration revealed in his eyes, and he nodded slightly.
At this time, the old, weak, sick and disabled people around looked at her and Levin with envy as they followed these people. Some of them were ragged and skinny, some had scars on their bodies, and their eyes were full of despair and helplessness. An old man leaned against the wall, his cloudy eyes full of envy, his cracked lips trembled slightly, and he murmured to himself: "How great it is, to be able to follow them, at least there is a glimmer of hope."
A thin child tugged at his mother's clothes, looked at Su Nian and the others eagerly, his eyes gleaming with longing, and said, "Mom, I want to go with them too. I don't want to be hungry anymore." The mother hugged the child tightly, tears welling up in her eyes, and said helplessly, "Child, we don't have that fate."
There was also a disabled person who dragged his crippled body and crawled a few steps towards them with difficulty. Finally, he collapsed to the ground helplessly, looking at their departing backs in despair.
Su Nian felt a sharp pain in her heart when she saw this scene. She wanted to help them, but she couldn't even protect herself. She turned her head away, unable to bear to watch any more, and her eyes became wet. She secretly vowed that if she had the ability one day, she would definitely come back to help these poor people.
Moore continued, "Don't worry, sister. We are here to protect you. By the way, Levin, the next planet we are going to is Hope. I heard that it is relatively safe. But before we go, we have to capture that bad guy Kron first, otherwise we will have trouble wherever we go."
Levin's eyes flashed with anticipation: "I hope so. It's been a tough journey. Catching Krohn is not an easy task. We need to plan carefully."
After everyone had tidied themselves up, they stood up and prepared to set off. Levin walked with difficulty with the support of Moore. Su Nian followed closely behind them, walking hurriedly, and occasionally looking back at the poor people who were still there.
They walked along the dilapidated streets, the houses on the roadside were crumbling, and the walls were covered with mottled marks. Su Nian carefully avoided the potholes and debris on the ground, his heart in his throat.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, raising a cloud of dust. Su Nian couldn't help coughing and covered his mouth and nose with his hands. Levin and Moore also stopped and waited for the dust to clear.
"Everyone be careful!" Moore reminded everyone loudly.
Su Nian followed closely beside them, not daring to slack off. With every step she took, she could feel her heartbeat speeding up.
Finally, they walked out of this dangerous street and came to an open area. Su Nian breathed a long sigh of relief, with beads of sweat on his forehead.
"Speed up and try to get out of this damn place as soon as possible! Catch Kron and then we'll head straight to Star Hope!" Moore shouted.
Everyone quickened their pace and headed towards the unknown planet of hope. Su Nian prayed silently in his heart, hoping that there would be no more dangers along the way and that they could successfully reach the planet full of hope.
