Chapter 13 My mental strength has been severely damaged before

Su Nian did not dare to relax at all. While Crohn had not discovered her yet, she quietly mixed into the fleeing crowd and ran towards a direction away from danger.

Along the way, Su Nian's heartbeat echoed in her ears like a drumbeat. The people around her looked terrified, and the sounds of hurried footsteps and desperate cries were intertwined.

After running for an unknown amount of time, Su Nian arrived at a strange town. Here, too, there was an atmosphere of fear and uneasiness. People kept their doors and windows closed, and the streets were empty.

Su Nian was exhausted and found a corner to sit down and rest. However, before she could catch her breath, a group of armed men rushed into the town.

"Hand over all the valuables you have!" shouted the militant leader.

Su Nian was shocked and quickly hid in a dilapidated warehouse nearby, not daring to breathe.

There were people crying and begging outside, and Su Nian's heart tightened. She covered her mouth, afraid that she would make any sound.

Suddenly, the door of the warehouse was pushed open, and an armed man walked in. Su Nian quickly hid behind a pile of debris, his heart in his throat.

The militant was searching everywhere, the footsteps were getting closer and closer, Su Nian was so nervous that he was shaking all over.

At this moment, the militant leader shouted from outside: "Go, don't dawdle!"

The militant then left the warehouse cursing.

Su Nian breathed a sigh of relief, but she knew it was not safe here either, so she carefully slipped out of the back door of the warehouse.

She continued to run away desperately, thinking that this planet was more dangerous than the garbage planet. At least there were not so many bad guys on the garbage planet who could threaten her life at any time.

Su Nian continued to flee in the town. She didn't know where she could go, nor did she know what the future would be like. The dangers of this planet were beyond her imagination, and she began to regret her original decision. Every step was like stepping on the edge of a knife. If she was not careful, she would be doomed.

During his escape, Su Nian met some other survivors. They were also fleeing from Crone and other militants, and everyone was filled with fear and despair. Su Nian looked at these equally destitute people, his eyes full of helplessness and confusion.

A middle-aged man with a stubble on his face, his eyes revealing numbness towards life; a thin woman, holding a tattered backpack tightly in her arms, as if it was her last hope; and a young child, with tears still on his face.

Su Nian traveled with these survivors, helping and supporting each other. They searched for food in the ruins together, even a piece of moldy bread could make them feel a little satisfied. Water was even more scarce, so they had to take risks to find water that might be contaminated, and then filter it and barely drink it.

In the process, Su Nian gradually learned how to survive in this cruel world. She learned to distinguish which plants were edible and which places might hide dangers. Every time she encountered danger, she forced herself to calm down and think about how to deal with it.

In another dangerous escape, Su Nian and his group ran into a narrow alley in a panic. The alley was dark and damp, emitting bursts of foul odor. The moss and peeling wall seemed to tell the vicissitudes of life here.

Just when they thought they were out of danger for the time being, Su Nian saw a familiar figure at the end of the alley—the down-and-out homeless alien he had seen in the shelter.

His name is Levin. He is still in rags. The clothes he wears have lost their original color. There are holes and patches everywhere. His hair is messy like weeds. His face is covered with dust and traces of fatigue. He looks exhausted. In his deep eye sockets are a pair of bloodshot eyes. But there is a hint of determination in those eyes, as if he has found a glimmer of hope in this endless suffering.

"It's you?" Su Nian said in surprise, with a hint of disbelief in his voice.

When Levin saw Su Nian, a hint of surprise appeared on his face. At that moment, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but it was quickly covered up by fatigue.

"I didn't expect to meet you here." Levin's voice was hoarse, as if every word he said took a lot of effort.

Su Nian briefly told him about his experiences during this period, from being chased by militants, to the difficulty of finding food in the wilderness, to his encounter with other survivors.

Levin listened, sighed, and the wrinkles on his face seemed to deepen.

"The world is getting crazier and crazier," he said, his eyes revealing his helplessness and sadness towards this world.

Everyone decided to act with Levin for the time being. After all, one more person means more strength.

In the days that followed, Su Nian, Levin and other survivors relied on each other. Although Levin was down and out, his experience and wisdom gave everyone more hope of survival in the difficult environment.

During their time together, Su Nian discovered that although Levin was down and out, his understanding of mental power was far beyond that of ordinary people. During breaks, he would tell everyone the secrets of mental power, how to perceive it, and how to control it.

One day, they rested in a ruin. This was a once prosperous city, but now only ruins remained. Broken glass flashed a strange light in the sun, and the collapsed buildings were like huge tombstones, telling the past glory and present desolation.

Suddenly, a mechanical roar broke the silence. A group of robots appeared in their field of vision. These robots were tall and mighty, and their metal shells reflected a cold light in the sun. Their eyes flashed red, and they held various advanced weapons in their hands. They were well-equipped and obviously had bad intentions.

Everyone was terrified and the blood instantly drained from their faces.

"This...what should we do?" The thin woman's voice trembled and her body involuntarily stepped back.

The young child burst into tears out of fear, while the middle-aged man clenched the stick in his hand, his eyes filled with despair.

Levin stood up calmly. His eyes became firm, as if he was no longer the downtrodden wandering alien, but a warrior about to go to the battlefield.

He closed his eyes and concentrated his mind. The air around him seemed to become heavy. Beads of sweat began to appear on Levin's forehead and slid down his wrinkled cheeks.

After a while, the robots' movements became sluggish. Their originally flexible joints seemed to be stuck, and their movements became stiff and unnatural.

"Go!" Levin shouted, his voice a little hoarse from trying his best.

Everyone woke up as if from a dream and got up and fled.

Su Nian looked back at Levin, only to see that his face was as pale as paper and his body was shaky.

Everyone ran as fast as they could until they could no longer hear the robot's voice, then they stopped and gasped for breath.

However, Levin collapsed to the ground due to excessive use of his mental strength. He covered his head in pain and groaned.

"My mental strength...has been severely damaged before, and I'm afraid this time..." Levin said with difficulty, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.

Su Nian quickly ran to his side and supported his body.

"Don't talk, take a rest first." Su Nian said anxiously.

The other survivors also gathered around, their faces full of concern and worry.

Levin's breathing became weaker and weaker, and Su Nian's heart was filled with fear and helplessness.

"We must find a way to save him!" Su Nian said firmly, his eyes revealing an unyielding strength.

In this world full of crises, whether they can find a way to save Levin and whether they can continue to survive, everything is unknown...
