Chapter 10: Rising in Resistance

After Cuihua, the troublemaker, got married, the Liang family's life returned to its previous state.

As usual, Liu had endless chores to do every day.

After Qianhuan took the medicine for a few days, the coldness in her body was temporarily suppressed.

The day after Cuihua got married, Old Lady Liang started to order Qianhuan to go to the mountain to cut grass for pigs.

But this Qianhuan is not the same Qianhuan. She will not be submissive like the original owner. It would be hard to make her listen to the orders of Old Lady Liang unless the sun rises from the west.

When Mrs. Liang saw that Qianhuan didn't move after she called her several times, she immediately became angry.

She ran into the kitchen angrily. Qianhuan was squatting under the stove helping Liu to light the fire. She was so angry that she could not control herself.

As soon as he opened his mouth, he began to curse: "You money-loser, are you deaf? Didn't you hear me telling you to go to the mountain to cut grass for the pigs? The piglets haven't eaten anything since this morning. Your mother can do the kitchen work, and you don't need to help. Go to the mountain to cut grass for the pigs right now."

"Grandma, I'm still a little weak after falling into the water. I'm afraid I can't climb the mountain now. You can go cut the grass for the pigs yourself, or ask my aunt to do it. I'm afraid I can't go today."

Qianhuan is not the original owner, and she doesn't like being ordered around to do things.

"You are so rebellious that you dare to talk back to your elders. Judging from the energy you use in your talk, you look energetic and vigorous. How can you be weak? If you don't go, be careful that I will whip you a few times."

Old Mrs. Liang always felt that her granddaughter was different after she fell into the water, but she couldn't tell exactly what was different.

In the past, she would do whatever I told her to do and never talked back, but now she actually dares to openly talk back to her elders.

"I'm really weak. If you don't believe me, ask Doctor Huang to come over and take my pulse again." Qianhuan was not afraid of her.

"You still want me to spend money to hire a doctor for you? You must be dreaming. I'm going to beat you to death today." As she said that, Old Lady Liang picked up the bamboo pole standing at the corner of the wall, raised it up and prepared to hit her.

"Mom, Qianhuan's fall into the water triggered a cold in her body. She is still weak. I will go to cut grass for the pigs after making lunch in the afternoon. Please don't make things difficult for the child." Liu immediately came over and held Grandma Liang to plead for mercy.

"Get out of here! I'm going to teach this ignorant little girl a lesson today and let her know the consequences of talking back to her elders. If you keep pulling me, I'll beat you too."

Mrs. Liang's authority was challenged, and she couldn't just let Qianhuan go.

She hit her with a bamboo pole, but Qianhuan immediately picked up the broom on the ground to catch the blow.

So the bamboo pole hit the broom, which was made of straw from the fields. It was broken into pieces and all the straw fell to the ground, but it didn't touch Qianhuan at all.

"You little bitch, you actually dared to fight back against your elders and broke the broom in our house. You are simply lawless and rebellious."

When Mrs. Liang saw that the broom was broken, she felt distressed and became even angrier.

She grabbed Liu's arm fiercely and cursed: "Liu, you are a jinx. Look at the little girl you gave birth to. She is an unfilial son. Not only does she openly talk back to her elders, she also dares to hit them with a broom."

Old Mrs. Liang took out her anger on Liu, who cried out in pain as she was pinched by her husband, but she kept begging her mother-in-law to spare Qianhuan.

When Chen heard the noise outside, she quickly put down her needle and thread and walked out of the house.

She really wanted to plead for Qianhuan and Liu, but she was afraid to speak up.

She was afraid that her plea would offend her mother-in-law, who might even scold her, so she could only stand at the door and worry.

"You old hag, let my mother go. If you dare to bully my mother again, don't blame me for not caring about you being an old lady. Just wait and see how I deal with you."

Qianhuan walked over and grabbed Old Lady Liang's hand which was holding Liu's.

"You rebellious money-loser, let go of me now, oh my god, you're almost breaking my hand, you're trying to murder my own grandmother."

Old Mrs. Liang cried out in pain as she had her wrist pinched hard by her.

Qianhuan pushed her away, stared at her with sinister eyes, and said viciously: "You still know that you are my real grandmother. Let me tell you, I have been to the palace of the King of Hell and returned. Ghosts are afraid of me. You'd better not mess with me and my mother, otherwise, I will make you wish you were dead."

Old Mrs. Liang was frightened by her sinister gaze, and she quickly ran back to her room while cursing.

This granddaughter is really scary now. Her eyes look like she wants to eat people.

Zhu had heard the noise from the kitchen in her room a long time ago. She opened the window a little to watch the show in the yard. When she saw that Old Lady Liang was about to beat Qianhuan, she shouted in her heart: Beat her hard and teach this little bitch a lesson.

Who knew that in the end it was Old Lady Liang who was at the disadvantage and was frightened by Qianhuan so much that she ran away.

She spat fiercely on the ground and cursed inwardly: What a useless old thing, he can't even control a little girl.

Qianhuan felt relieved when she saw Old Lady Liang running away. A kind person is often bullied, and a kind horse is often ridden. To deal with such a person, you have to be more ruthless than her.

"Mom, next time grandma scolds you, you should run away and don't listen. If she hits you, you are not allowed to swallow your anger. At worst, we can just leave this home." Qianhuan also taught Liu that she didn't have to endure Grandma Liang's harassment in the future.

"Qianhuan, she is our elder after all. If we go against her like this, we will be called unfilial." Liu didn't quite agree with her daughter's words.

"Mom, the old saying goes that a father is kind and a son is filial. Kindness comes first, then filial piety. She is not kind to us, why should we be filial to her?"

Qianhuan believes that younger generations are filial to their elders because the elders love the younger generations, are virtuous, and deserve filial piety.

She doesn't want to be filial to an elder who beats and scolds the younger generation at every turn.

"That being said, people's words are scary. If your grandmother says that we are unfilial, everyone's spit will drown us."

After all, Liu is a real ancient person. In her heart, she is still very afraid of her elders and also afraid of rumors.

Qianhuan thought to herself: When I was a host, there were all kinds of people in the live broadcast room, and I was scolded a lot by keyboard warriors. If I cared too much about other people's views and opinions, would I still want to live?

But she knew that no matter how much she said to Liu, it would be useless because Liu had been deeply poisoned by feudal ideas.

I can only teach her slowly in the future so that she won't be so submissive.

Qianhuan felt that she had to find a way to make money as soon as possible, and then live separately from the original owner's parents.

Every day she stayed in the Liang family's old house meant a day more of torture for her mother, and she herself would always be pressured by Old Lady Liang with her filial piety.
