Chapter 11 "Tomb Raider: Lin Xiaomoyu's Adventure of Life and Death"
After helping the injured villagers, Lin Xiao continued to explore the unknown in this mysterious world. On this day, the sky was covered tightly by heavy dark clouds, like a huge gray curtain, which made people breathless.
Lin Xiao walked alone on the winding and quiet path. The trees on both sides were towering into the sky, and their branches and leaves were intertwined, forming a gloomy green dome. The wind blew quietly, and the leaves rustled. The sound was like a gloomy whisper, as if telling her the ancient and mysterious story of this land.
"This horrible weather, I feel like something bad is going to happen. Is it going to be a Mercury retrograde?" Lin Xiao muttered, frowning, and his pace unconsciously quickened.
Suddenly, her eyes were attracted by a stone tablet on the roadside that was engraved with strange symbols. The symbols on the stone tablet were like twisted reptiles, which made people confused.
"What is this? Is it some mysterious 'code'?" Lin Xiao moved closer curiously, staring at the symbols, his face full of confusion.
At this moment, a figure appeared behind her like a ghost. Lin Xiao was frightened by the sudden movement and trembled all over, and turned around suddenly.
"Little girl, this is not something you should touch." A hoarse and low voice came, and an old man in a tattered black robe stood behind her. His face was full of wrinkles of time, and his eyes were deep and mysterious.
Lin Xiao patted his chest and said in shock: "Who are you? You suddenly showed up and scared me! I'm going to have a heart attack just by you!"
The old man smiled slightly, revealing a mouthful of incomplete teeth: "I am the gravekeeper nearby. This stone tablet leads to a mysterious ancient tomb. It is full of dangers. It is not a place that a little girl like you can set foot in casually."
"Ancient tomb?" Lin Xiao's eyes suddenly lit up, with excitement flashing in her eyes, "That's very exciting! Maybe there are some amazing treasures hidden in it!"

The entrance to the ancient tomb was hidden in a patch of grass so dense that it was almost opaque, and there was a creepy and strange atmosphere around it. Lin Xiao swallowed and walked in with forced calmness.
As soon as she stepped into the ancient tomb, a stale and decayed smell hit her in the face, choking her and causing her to cough repeatedly. The torches on the wall flickered with dim and swaying light, stretching the shadows around her into strange shapes.
"This place is too spooky! It feels like entering a haunted house." Lin Xiao felt a little scared and couldn't help shivering, but he still gritted his teeth and walked forward carefully.
As she walked, she suddenly heard a strange sound. The sound sounded like someone whispering, or like the cry of a vengeful spirit.
"Who? Who is there? Stop playing tricks and come out!" Lin Xiao shouted nervously. His voice echoed in the empty ancient tomb, but there was no response.
Only that strange voice kept lingering in her ears, as if an invisible hand was gently stroking her back, making her spine cold.
Suddenly, a huge bat swooped out of the darkness, its wings spread out like a black cloud.
"Ah!" Lin Xiao screamed in fright and waved her hands frantically trying to drive away the bat.
Just as she was in a panic, the ground beneath her feet suddenly collapsed without warning, and she instantly fell into a bottomless dark trap.
"Help! Someone save me!" Lin Xiao's voice kept echoing in the trap, full of fear and despair.
At this moment, Mo Yu seemed to have sensed something and hurried towards the ancient tomb.
"Lin Xiao, please don't get into any trouble!" Mo Yu prayed silently in his heart while hurrying on his way.
When he rushed to the entrance of the ancient tomb, he heard Lin Xiao's cry for help.
"Lin Xiao, don't be afraid, I'm here to save you!" Mo Yu shouted loudly, and his voice echoed in the ancient tomb.
Mo Yu quickly looked around for tools he could use, and finally found a long rope. He fixed one end of the rope to a solid stone, and then threw the other end into the trap.
"Lin Xiao, grab the rope!" Mo Yu shouted.
Lin Xiao heard Mo Yu's voice in the trap, as if he had grabbed a life-saving straw.
"I caught it!" Lin Xiao shouted.
Mo Yu used all his strength to pull Lin Xiao out of the trap little by little.
"Why are you here?" As soon as Lin Xiao came up, he threw himself into Mo Yu's arms, his voice filled with tears.
Mo Yu said helplessly and distressedly: "I knew you would get into trouble, so I followed you because I was worried."
The two took a short rest and continued to move forward in the ancient tomb.
Not long after they walked, they saw a huge, tightly closed stone door with mysterious patterns and symbols carved on it.
"There must be a treasure behind this! Maybe it's a long-lost martial arts secret book or priceless jewelry." Lin Xiao said excitedly, with greed flashing in his eyes.
Mo Yu looked at the stone door cautiously and said, "Be careful, there is a trap, don't be reckless."
Lin Xiao didn't want to hear anything. She rushed forward impatiently and pushed the stone door open with force.
In an instant, countless arrows shot out from the door like dense raindrops.
Mo Yu was quick-witted and quick-handed. He pulled Lin Xiao behind him, waving the sword in his hand, trying his best to block the rain of arrows.
"Can you be more careful? You are always so reckless. Do you want to live?" Mo Yu shouted angrily and anxiously.
"I...I didn't expect that. I just want to find the treasure quickly." Lin Xiao lowered his head in grievance and muttered softly.
Just when they thought they had escaped, a greater danger was quietly approaching.
A powerful airflow rushed out from the stone gate and knocked both of them to the ground.
"What's going on?" Lin Xiao asked in horror.
Mo Yu got up from the ground, looked inside the stone door vigilantly, and said, "I'm afraid there are more powerful things inside."
Before he finished speaking, a huge monster slowly walked out from the darkness. It was huge, covered with sharp spikes, and its eyes flashed with red fierce light.
"Oh my god! What kind of monster is this?" Lin Xiao was so scared that his face turned pale.
Mo Yu clenched the sword in his hand and said, "Don't be afraid, we will deal with it together!"
The monster opened its bloody mouth and pounced towards them.
