Chapter 6: The Storm in the Jianghu: Lin Xiao's Fantasy Adventure

Lin Xiao bid farewell to the quiet little village, and embarked on an unknown journey with a heart full of expectations and anxiety. The dark clouds in the sky were as dark as ink, pressing down heavily, as if to swallow up the whole world. The wind was howling, blowing Lin Xiao's hair wildly in the wind, and she had to hold down her skirt tightly to avoid being blown away by the wind.

"What a lousy weather! I'm so unlucky!" Lin Xiao muttered, his brows furrowed into a "川" shape, his face full of annoyance and helplessness.

She walked on the winding and rugged mountain road, one foot deep and one foot shallow. The stones under her feet kept biting her soles, and every step she took felt like a torture.

Suddenly, a deafening sound of horse hooves came from a distance, and the sound was getting closer and closer, like rolling thunder, shaking the ground slightly. Lin Xiao's heart suddenly tightened, and an ominous premonition surged into his heart.

She looked towards the direction of the sound with vigilance, and saw a group of riders in black clothes coming like a whirlwind. They all had stern faces, and their faces were covered with black scarves, revealing only pairs of eyes flashing with cold light, which seemed to be able to freeze people instantly.

"Stop! Don't run!" The leading rider roared loudly, and his voice was like a loud bell, echoing in the valley.

Lin Xiao was so frightened that he turned and ran away, shouting at the top of his lungs: "Help! Is there anyone who can save me?"

Her heart was beating like a drum and her breathing was rapid, as if it would jump out of her throat in the next second. In a panic, she accidentally tripped over a protruding stone, fell forward, and fell heavily to the ground.

"Ouch!" Lin Xiao cried out in pain. His palm was scratched and blood oozed out.

"Hmph, little girl, let's see where you can run!" The riders quickly surrounded Lin Xiao and trapped her in the middle.

Lin Xiao looked at them in horror, his body shaking like a fallen leaf in the wind.

"What are you going to do?" Lin Xiao asked in a trembling voice, his eyes full of fear.

"Hand over the valuables on you!" a rider said viciously, the long sword in his hand flashing coldly in the sun.

Lin Xiao gritted his teeth and said stubbornly: "I don't have anything valuable! You bunch of robbers, don't even think about getting anything from me!"

"Stop talking nonsense! Search!" The leading rider gave an order, and several riders jumped off their horses and approached Lin Xiao step by step.

At this moment, a figure descended from the sky like a ghost and landed steadily in front of Lin Xiao. The person who came was Mo Yu, who had an upright posture and sharp eyes, like a god of war descending from the sky.

"How dare you rob in broad daylight!" Mo Yu shouted loudly, his voice full of majesty and anger.

When the riders saw Mo Yu, their faces changed slightly and a hint of fear flashed in their eyes.

"Who are you? How dare you meddle in other people's business!" The leading rider pretended to be calm and shouted loudly.

Mo Yu sneered and said disdainfully: "I am here to teach you lawless villains a lesson!"

After saying that, Mo Yu flashed and rushed towards the riders like lightning. His movements were as fast as the wind, and his moves were extremely sharp, each of which contained powerful power.

He just kicked a rider away with a flying kick. The rider drew an arc in the air and fell heavily to the ground.

Lin Xiao was stunned watching from the side, his eyes full of admiration and surprise.

"Wow, Mo Yu is so awesome! So handsome!" Lin Xiao couldn't help but shout loudly, and his hands clenched unconsciously.

When Mo Yu heard Lin Xiao's praise, the corners of his mouth slightly raised and his hands moved more rapidly.

In a short while, the riders were beaten to a pulp and fled in a panic.

Mo Yu walked to Lin Xiao, stretched out his hand and pulled her up.

"Little girl, are you okay?" Mo Yu asked with concern, his eyes full of tenderness.

Lin Xiao shook his head and said, "I'm fine, thank you, Mo Yu. If it weren't for you, I don't know what to do."

Mo Yu smiled and said, "Let's go. I'll go with you so that you won't run into danger again."

The two walked side by side and continued their journey. Soon, they came to a bustling town. There were a lot of cars and people coming and going in the town, and the shouts and hawking sounds were heard one after another.

"Wow, it's so lively here!" Lin Xiao looked around excitedly, with curiosity flashing in his eyes.

Suddenly, Lin Xiao saw a stall selling candied haws. The strings of red candied haws were sparkling with an attractive luster in the sun.

"I want to eat candied haws." Lin Xiao said, his eyes full of desire.

Mo Yu smiled, walked up and bought a string of candied haws and handed it to her.

Lin Xiao took the candied haws and took a bite happily. The sweet and sour taste spread in his mouth.

"Hmm, it's delicious!" Lin Xiao squinted his eyes in satisfaction.

At this moment, a mysterious old man appeared in front of them. The old man was wearing a gray robe, with gray hair, but his eyes were deep and sharp.

"You two, I notice that there is black on your foreheads. There will be a disaster in the near future." The old man said slowly, his voice low and hoarse.

Lin Xiao and Mo Yu looked at each other, their hearts full of doubts.

"Old man, please don't talk nonsense. How could we be in trouble?" Lin Xiao said with a hint of doubt on his face.

The old man smiled and said, "Believe it or not, it's up to you, but the gears of fate have begun to turn, and everything is destined."

After saying that, the old man turned and left, disappearing into the crowd.

Lin Xiao and Mo Yu couldn't help but wonder, what exactly did this mysterious old man mean? What kind of disaster will they encounter? What unexpected people and things will they encounter in the next journey?
